The wax figure of Virgil van Dijk, captain of the Dutch national team and central defender at FC Liverpool, will be on display at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam from 16 October 2021.
Despite his very busy training schedule, Virgil managed to find time at the end of 2019 for a posing session for the Madame Tussauds sculptors. In a short session, hundreds of measurements were taken and as many photos were taken with the aim of launch the figure for the European Championship 2020. Due to a longer production time caused by Covid-19 the figure has only now been launched. The impressive figure can be seen in the sports department of Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. Virgil is accompanied by Lionel Messi, skater Sven Kramer and kickboxer Rico Verhoeven.
