Hi I have a question please...I bout a matte finish sterling silver cross charm off a jewler and I loved the way It looked...but when i picked it up they polished the shyt out of the matte finish and it almost looks like they took the finish off could that happen?

I recently bought a Mene 24k gold ring. Does anybody know how to clean them? I have heard you can't buff 24k. So far I only use it on special occasions and have been lucky so far. But it will scratch at some point. Any advice would be appreciated.

Use a toothbrush and some mild detergents! If you need to polish, you will need some special tools as you don't use a machine but you use a "polishing steel tool" to press and rub the surface until a nice shine! That goes for 23K and also 24K!

@jaystarks8662 lol who told you not to clean gold. I use lemon juice, works well also. My jeweler told me to use that.

Thanks for this but just a heads up to anyone watching, you should never put your fingers in the machine while running, the ultrasonic waves can cause nerve damage.

Are you kidding, jeez, power steam and rinse over the damn SINK.....what the hell? what if one got loose? will you chase it down the drain to the sewer..? that is a good reason why I like doing things my self including cleaning my wife's jewelers.

Sinks are gaurded with special mesh strainers meant to prevent such accidents.

Never Polish your Jewelry, it loses gold and they resell that Gold, this is Something Jewelers will never tell you, you Definitely lose Gold with the Polish
