Nice car not my sort of car but still nice is it true black paint is the worst to paint but another good job you make it look easy but it's not but you been doing it for years I bet

Nice, another top job. How much clear did you use on this, those bonnets are big. Years of doing this work and I still hope I have mixed enough. I hate when I have to do a mad dash to mix up a little bit more.

Cheers i think it was 900ml or 950ml RFU, i done this job 3 weeks ago, i still get it wrong it happened today 😀 i seem to judge the bigger jobs better than the small ones but yes its well annoying

What do you mean by a “drop” coat?

Drop coat is a lighter dryer coat to even out metallic and pearl

Well done! I have a quick question all the way from Los Angeles....😂 do you add reducer to make the paint atomize better? Also if so do you ever stray away from the 10% limit? I remember the gunman saying once that he added 30% in quartz liquid glass. Thanks

Thanks for watching,It depends on the Clear Coat, the clear coat I used on this job, Mipa CX2, doesn’t require any reducer so I dont or wouldn’t add any, another clear I also use,Mipa CC9 says to add up to 5 % reducer so I’ve tried it with none and up to 10% It’s all about trying different amounts to get the desired result Over thinning it and applying a extra coat would help if your looking to flat and polish it, if you’re looking for a gun factory finish I’d recommend under thinning it but I really depends on what you’re using and your set up

@TheHumblePaintSprayer333 thank you for that feedback. On video seems like these finishes look dead flat. When I experiment in real life with the same spray gun......my result looks like stucco 😄. Mine is 1.3 though
