I think it’s a UK thing but I think it’s cream of target. Maybe? I’m from California and never heard of trex either.

Ok looked into it, it’s our version of shortening. So it’s equal parts of butter and shortening which is how I’ve always made a hybrid buttercream it’s very good

And vegetable butter which is 100% fat, no water content - trex is a bit gross though. It’s straight palm fat.

@@minkadeer1052 Vegetable ghee is also available in most Middle East grocery stores. I use that, just googled for Trex to buy but seems like this product is not available in U.S. 😒

Update: it was the flora that was leaving little lumps, naturali is my favourite brand to use for buttercream

It is a foul thing that I'm not even sure is food. Makes the texture really lovely, but the smell and taste are invasive - bleurgh

You can do, we would recommend adding a bit more butter 10-20% and just keep in mind you won't get quite as airy a buttercream. Happy baking!
