This is me reacting to a match from the 2021 Russian Super League between Zenit Kazan and Dynamo Moscow. Hey Erik!! Thank you thank you so much for these videos! So informative. I'm glad Volkov and Bogdan are doing really well in their new clubs! Also, it may not be that obvious in this game, but Micah seems to be playing really well in Zenit Kazan. It looks like he knows how to really maximize Volkov, Mikhaylov and especially Bednorz (I think they were teammates in Modena before??)

holy shit. this is like the best video angle ever. You can see the depth as opposed to sideways shot they always do where you can't really see how far/where the setter sets to

It's amazing how Mikhaylov (?) could make that out of system set perfectly tight to the net and outside while basically running off court with his back to the net. 😳

The serves of Cheslavs Sventickis really shocked me. The first one kazan got a 3 meters pass. The next two serves got kazan out of system, and then an ace. I even thought he would get another ace at match point. Can't image how scary these servers are. (sorry for my poor English)

Dimitry's blocking seems to have improved a lot. Still spends a lot of time falling/seemingly randomly on the ground 😂 And Micah is doing really great to! Only seen a few missed connections. Hope the visa issues for his family get resolved soon! I also feel like the tip is being used a lot more frequently in the Russian league this year? 🤷‍♀️

Hallo Mr. Koji! I am originally from Peru and currently play as a Libero in a club in Munich, Germany, in the 6th League. I would like to ask you if you had some piece of advice for me to practice Overhead/Hand passing? I am not used to this Kind of passing and I do need to use it for float serve. Erik, do you ever feel conflicted about which team to support when two or more of your friends are playing against each other like in this one? Or is it a 'whoever plays better' type situation?

It seems to me that 2 attack tips (Wolkov and Mikhailov) were quite long touches and could have been not allowed in the polish league for example. I'm confused what is allowed and what not recently in that aspect. Personally, I like the way it worked in that match, to give some more freedom to the spikers. What do you think?

it’s definitely a judgement call and tough on the refs. I think we should not allow most of then hahaha (but I am a libero hahahah)

I thought you would rather react to Zenit - Nowosybirsk match, since the latter team is your future opponent in LM (maybe you will, we'll see). Random question - is chewing gum during games safe? No risk of choking?
