We had a great oppertunity to have Clayton King stop by our youth group meeting last night on Zoom and talk to us about the importance of being in our Bibles.
I wanted to share with you the reading plan that has changed how I study the Bible.

I've been a deep diver all my Christian life & I have never read through the whole Bible. I find it very difficult, but want to change this. Thanks; This was encouraging & inspiring!

Gary, I suggest finding a Bible version that’s easy to read, in modern plain English is best. ESV, or NLT, even one of the easiest, the CEB. And you’ll read it like a regular book, it’ll flow nicely. The Grant Horner plan jumps back and forth between the Old and New Testaments. Old Testament (heavier reading) and New Testament (light reading). It makes it easier for me, that’s why I love the Horner’s reading plan. If you skip a day or a month, don’t sweat it, just resume where you left off and move on. Good luck! 😊

Good video brother. I started doing this plan March 6th and I absolutely love it! I double or triple up sometimes. Can’t wait until I start seeing the scriptures come alive and see in interpreting itself. God bless you.

How goes the Bible plan?

So far so good!! I’m pushing to finish the Prophets, History, and the Law twice before March 6, which would put me at a year in the plan. So I read 2 chapters in the Law and 3 in the history and prophets. Is the plan still working for you?

Thank you, Brother Aaron, for sharing this, particularly the tip about jotting down notes on each chapter read. Blessings from the Fiji Islands 🇫🇯

I started this plan around 4 years ago, read it for over a year. Got more understanding of the Bible during that year than I had over the previous 10. Fell out of the habit, quit reading daily, still read the Bible but sporadic. Just decided to start this back up a few days ago. Really stoked and hoping to keep going longer this time. Really was not difficult to read 10 chapters this way. Sometimes I read the sections 2 or more times a day. Anyway, I hope all is well, curious if you are still reading thus way and what you think about it a year later if you are. May God bless you richly.

Thank you for your comment. I am still using this system for reading the Bible. I find it the easiest to follow and find that my understanding of the Bible has been deepened by this system. I pray that God blesses you and your study as you start again.

Roy, I love this reading plan. Started it in 2019 when I found out about it. Then some life challenges (family ill and even loss), life gets in the way sometimes when we least expect it, made me slow down but never disconnected from the LORD. Then, I picked up the reading again. Heavy reading OT vs. light reading NT back and forth makes it easy, especially when reading Leviticus, I really enjoy it this way. :)

This is really clear thanks. I've just started this now. It took a few minutes to set up but like you I just use bookmarks and push them through. Thanks for a great video

I remember a sermon Billy Graham gave and said he reads 5 psalms everyday. I would read that along with the ten.

Could one include the Deuterocanonical books that are in Catholic bibles with this plan?

Being a Reformed Protestant I'm not sure. I suppose you could work those books in, if you so choose.

Is there a way you can link to the 100 year plan document? The link no longer works.

I have tried to use this plan at least a dozen times, and I can't figure out how to even get started . There are 929 chapters in the Bible, and that it's possible to read through most of them several times in one year ("When you get to the end, you go back to the top and start again")? This is just one of several incongruous statements that are found in the description of this system). Believe me: I would love nothing more than to read through the Bible next year, using this plan, but it just doesn't add up

Here's an example. It takes 31 days to read Proverbs (one chapter a day). When you get to the bottom of that list (day 31), the next day, you start the list over on day 32 with Proverbs 1 and go through the list again. Psalms has 150 chapters, so 150 days. On day 151, you would start over for that list with Psalm 1. Do this with each list. Whenever a list is finished, you start that list over. Each list starts over a different amount of days after starting. You will pretty much never read the same 10 chapters each day. I hope this helps.
