Grayson, much admiration to you and your success. I remember watching you on the And1 tapes and memorized by this small "white" kid and how amazing your ball handling skills were. I recently watched your prison tour episode and your faith in Christ gave me even more admiration for you! I felt there was something different about you in all your KZfaq videos; from the way you carried yourself, to your respect for other players and humility. It makes sense that your faith in God is the reason why you are who you are. Praise God for your heart and may He continue to bless your ministry as you a light of Christ to everyone you encounter!!!

I admire the Professor a lot, however, in the NBA a lot of his dribbles would be called out. The refs would be blowing many whistles because to be able to dribble like that, you would have to lots of palms, carry overs, and in some cases travel. If refs dont' whistle at those, i'm sure there will be lots of tensions with coaches. Just my opinion.
@markcarey67
@markcarey67 4 жыл бұрын
As Christian Laetner said people don't realise how many beasts there are in the NBA this guy has a unique skill set but an elite wing defender like Pat Beverly or Andre Igodala would automatically render him a non factor.
@DusanAcimovic
@DusanAcimovic 4 жыл бұрын
it's kind of obvious why he didn't get into NBA: he is an entertainer not a professional team player. Like 50% of the moves are not really necessary. Another 20% is like showing of how to humiliate another player, and that thing has no space in NBA that has different kind of reputation. You don't point with your finger when you do a move on someone to just to point out how that player is below you, or smash a ball into your opponents face out of the same reason. All my KZfaq recommendations of Proffessor's videos are "1v1 on a trash-talker". It sound as if Professor in a way has an issue with lacking self-esteem where he has to put people below him. That type of playing ends up on KZfaq videos like "NBA's most disrespectful moments". As something that should not have be done from a player in the NBA league.As much as I like to watch Proffessor's play and freedom of what you can do on 1v1 and street basketball, it's not something that has space in the NBA where you'd look like you are either not taking things serious or just making NBA look like a joke.

Pretty mind blowing he got no NCAA offers. At the very least, I'd thought some D3 or D2 schools would let him walk on.

There are many important reasons why the NBA would be difficult for him. He is on the short side and not muscular, for a guard his jump shot is still not good enough for the NBA, he would have problems defending against typical NBA guards that posted low on him. There are many reasons...

I play to stay in shape. I am 52 now, but I am good for my age because I have been at it for a long time. I often play with students at the university were I teach. The students would yell out out, "Professor!" when I made a good play using my many tricky old man moves on jumpy young players. I first thought they were referring to the fact that I am a professor in real life, but later I figured out that they were referring to you. I get more joy out of this then I ever get out of being called professor in the classroom. You never know who you can reach.
