Program won't open or program not opening in Windows 10? This video will show you how to fix programs, apps and games that aren't loading or opening on a Windows 10 PC or laptop. Programs like Steam can sometimes not open or work properly and we'll have plenty of methods in this video to fix apps not opening. Hopefully today's video helps show you how to fix programs not opening or program won't open when I click on it on PC.

Boot into safety mode and perform a system recovery. If not available, the safety mode + guides on how to check which program is causing issues should help too. You can force your PC to to make the option available to you to start in the safety mode by shutting it down 3 - 4 times while booting (advanced booting options, it won't hurt the PC)

Chrome(edge, file doc, etc) shortcut on desktop. Double click, program opens on taskbar but won’t open to full screen. Sure I can hover over it and get it to show, but all option on rite clicking don’t work. Move, resize, etc…nothing. Restart windows, no, refresh windows exe, nope. All the “suggestions” those don’t work. This is deeper than that…how do you fix this issue?

thank u...first method worked. and make sure you hit end task for each and every program listed and not just 1 of them. for example, whatever app in the task manager you see and there are multiple , make sure u end the task for each and every one.

It sounds like its crashing, but very early. Have you tried reinstalling or repairing it? Make sure things like save files are backed up just in case

That would be pretty hard, what would be easier (but still hard) is if someone programed a legit troubleshooting app that could scan all programmatic apps you select and spit out what the exact problem with the troubled app is, so you can go back and actually correct it without having to waste minutes-to-hours trying everything in the book to fix it.

Hi, my pc shows apps open in the taskbar however when I click on it it does not actually show up on screen. I tried hitting shift and right click on the icon to move it but that doesn’t work either. Even when I open up things like task manager it shows up as open on the taskbar but I cant see it on my screen. This goes for settings as well. I’ve tired signing out however the monitor screen just goes black and I can only see my cursor. Do you know what the problem might be?

i got a new hp pavillion gaming pc yesterday and it was working fine until about 20:00, i tried downloading 2 phone emulators and then all of a sudden my computer wouldn't open any apps and it wouldn't let me restart my computer the only program that worked was windows explorer but even then that stopped working
