Pretty sure that's exactly what he did, but the game estimated the "velocity" of the drawing tool and rounded the lines to suit. I think if he put 2 points at each corner of the square it might work better. That siad, I wonder if the points had to be drawn in clockwise/counter clockwise order? Could the order be random so long as the points are equidistant from the center?

You should make this more complicated. Start the mouse somewhere and move it in a random direction, if the circle percentage goes down, remember that direction was worse and try another direction next time at that point.
