Programming the Crony/Motorola MT777

Easy programming of the Crony/Motorola/Puxing MT777 model for some of the PMR446 frequencies we use in Carnity.com offroad club.
We program 5 following channels:
Channel 1: 446.00625 Mhz (both for transmitting and receiving).
Channel 2: 446.03125 Mhz (both for transmitting and receiving).
Channel 3: 446.05625 Mhz (both for transmitting and receiving).
Channel 4: 446.08125 Mhz (both for transmitting and receiving).
Channel 5: 462.88750 Mhz (both for transmitting and receiving).
CT should be off in menu 3 and 5 (no encryption).
Wideband or Narrowband can be used. Channel are adequately separated from each other.

Thanks Frederic. Following your video I have programed the radio in less than 10 min. BTW the price for this radio is AED115/- in Dragon mart.

Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. My friends and I bought some these from DragonMart too. They came with default 14 frequencies. The seller said these are the standard frequencies for off-roaders here. But I noticed they aren’t PMR446. They are a bunch of 462 and so on. Shall we change them to 446s?

The default frequencies in the 462 are not within the official license-free frequency range. The PMR446 radios and frequencies are license free and you will find the frequencies here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PMR446 Make sure the radio is set to Narrowband, otherwise your frequencies will be overlapping each-other.

Hi.. i have one pair of mt-777 (400-470mhz) transceiver, i used this pairs one month without any problem, now both tranceivers going diffrent MHz ( means one is 136 to 174mhz and other one showing 400-470 mhz) its happend automatically.. can you give any solution for this.. how to make both in 400-470MHz..?

Hello, have for the same MT777, one them is working one way. Means when i speak, we can hear on the second talkie walkie. But if you speak from the second talkie walkie you can hear, you only see the reception bars but no sound . I tried with other talkie walkies, I have same issue. It is like a mute is put on in the settings but cant figure it out. I appreciate your help if you can .thank you

You’ll need to double check your programming frequencies. Make sure the transmitting and receiving frequencies are the same.

why I can't type 6 digit on my mt777. when I type the 6th digit of a number, it automatically says error...

HI Frederic, i followed all your steps and entered the right frequencies etc. When others contact me on my radio, the sound is really awful, i almost cant hear anything.. its not clear at all. Can this be a setting i missed? Also on my display when i switch on there is a small S in the bottom left corner, dont know how to get rid of that. appreciate your help Frederic. regards

The small S indicates that your radio is in “scan” mode. My suspicion is something went wrong during programming or the original program from the factory is wrong. By pressing Menu followed by “1” you can enable or disable scanning. You can also try a factory reset by holding the orange button and the menu button simultaneously while turning on the radio

For that frequency range you will need a VHF band radio. This model is a UHF which is for 400-470Mhz

This Crony model is an UHF model (400-470mhz). If you want 136-174 MHz you need to buy a VHF model
