SOUTH LOS ANGELES - This episode was released a few days ago to our Patrons that get early access to our videos which features Project Bo, from the Pueblo Bishop Bloods, a gang on the eastside of South Los Angeles based in the Pueblo Del Rio Housing Projects.
Bo, 30, was release from prison in 2015 after serving 8 straight years in one of California's level 4 prisons. Cameras are rarely allowed in these projects, and Bo gave us complete access to where he was born and grew up.
He talks about Don Diego, Compton rapper YG and the conflict with the Blood Stone Villains.

Will you interview the little brother and get his perspective? Even on the phone would be interesting. I grew up on 105th/Hoover in the 70s-80s. I attended Bret Harte and was supposed to go to Washington High but was lucky enough to get bused (I had several death threats, like a lot of people). I know a lot of America just can't understand how delicate threading through our system can be. They don't believe certain road blocks exist. Why some make it and some don't. I listen and talk to as many police as I can end most of them (of many races) don't get it.

A lot of cops become institutionalized by the day-to-day chaos of their work; not that it's an excuse to mistreat and discriminate against people facing the obstacles you describe. Many cops just become desensitized toward the people they're supposed to serve and protect. I know several black and Hispanic cops and correctional officers who grew up in the hood and they despise lower-income blacks. My thing is that they chose to go into law enforcement - they weren't recruited or forced; yet, once they become "true blue" they go into survival mode. Not all, because there are some decent cops, but even still, they become trapped behind the blue wall.

I used to stay on my brother when he was coming up, had my guys reporting back to me everytime they saw him dabbling in the streets. It worked, all my siblings learned early on that the streets is the slave trap...if they had beef, I took that and everyone referred to them as,''that's so and so lil brother, lil sister'' and they were off limits. Now we ALL living good productive lives because of that strong family support system.
