Heres the problem with this: most of these federal bills dont involve subject matter which invokes a federally enumerated power to begin with such that U.S. Const. Amendment 10 likely prohibits them, such that the argument presented in this post is moot. This post is a prime example of a liberal who doesnt know the law, if Im to assume this is not deliberately intellectually dishonest at the outset, in view of the Obama executive orders which would be illegal if we apply the argument claimed here.

@@Harlem55except the constitution and its amendments only apply to them when its convenient. lousiana passed a law saying that all government funded educational buildings need to have a clear display of the ten commandments in every classroom to “fix their education system” instead of supporting children in the education system ans actually fixing it

I'll never understand people's blind faith in government. Why wouldn't you rather have your education decided by your own state, your own county, and your own town? Government is a horrible entity. Nothing good has ever happened when the people allow government to crawl out of it's tiny box. It's like feeding it after midnight and taking it for a swim. "human rights" is simply allowing people to be who they want to be. "human rights" does not mean forcing the rest of the world to validate those choices. "human rights" does not require a government imposed cheering section for every person with a nutty idea. You have the right to be as kooky as you want to be, as long as you aren't directly imposing on someone else's rights to do the same. You do NOT have the right for government to force everyone to make you feel good about your kooky choices.

It basically is. Blue sectors of the country will probably split off as South Korea did, and red sectors will do the best they can to enforce their authoritarian policy. Democrats and liberal independents in red states or red-leaning states will probably move to blue states, I am personally moving from New Hampshire to Massachusetts to best avoid the federal restrictions Trump will put into place.

@@DemonFoxAkiraI thought that the role of a Roman dictator was to restore order in the government in order to get things done. The government and not the citizens, primarily. Ordinary people who obeyed the law might have had little if any reason to fear a dictator as long as he stayed on path, did his job and went home when his term expired (or attempt a power grab and risk assassination by his peers). Are any of my thoughts correct?

@@tonyjones1560 You're right. It was. One guy did call all the shots, but it wasn't a first choice thing and even then it wasn't as absolute, plus there was a time limit. Once that time was up, the guy in that position was out. No ifs, ands or buts. There are structurally worded phrases in the document that essentially sets up a way in the future to abolish the 'human' status for those that have slavery ancestry, deport anyone that has certain known ancestry, remove certain folks from high ranking positions, refuse education for families who can't pay tuition fees (which are going up) and blacklist them. These are some of the more striking consequences that are in the works should this project be implemented.
