Yep, will happen sooner or later. I am happy with the gear and the sound anyway.

@@igaldins I have a 65” tv between my speakers and it drives me crazy knowing its getting in the way of the sound but theres no other option, that and a sofa chair i have to move out of the way every time i want to listen properly 🤦🏻‍♂️ houses in the uk just arnt made for a proper hifi setup.

The McIntosh has more power, bigger sound stage, sweeter analog vocals, lower bass. Yamaha has faster bass, leaner midrange with higher resolution in female vocals region, darker background. McIntosh is the better amplifier but Yamaha is excellent too. McIntosh is more musical, Yamaha is more precision oriented but still remain musical in a different way. Tone controls on the McIntosh are superb, Yamahas tone controls are messing up the sound, used only to add bass on night low volume listening. McIntosh DAC is quite good, it is comparable to the schiit Bifrost multibit 1st gen. Yamaha gets much warmer so ventilation is important. McIntosh never gets hot. Both amps are beautiful.
