Yes! I never owned it but enjoyed playing a demo. Maybe some of the rpg / city elements of deus ex. Strong duke nukem 3D vibes, too.

This whole aesthetic reminds me of something like “a scanner darkly” and I’m really really digging it. It’s nice when developers take a shot at something unique like this, quite refreshing.

I was thinking that too! Both with the look and with the premise of employees taking a drug for their work. I wonder how much a scanner darkly influenced it.

I saw this one at an Alamo a couple years ago, it was definitely worth seeing on a big screen! Lovely, moving film. Go see it if you haven’t!!

I really like the art style to this. This was not at all on my wishlist but seeing this has changed my mind completely. With all the extra touches that have been put in it really does stand out from the crowd.

I wrote this one off when I was browsing the eShop but seeing it in more detail here it looks fantastic. I sometimes find that the constant high-octane pace in a shooter wears me out quickly (can't do more than one or two levels in a row on Doom 2016 before it becomes too much lol) so the fact that this has a lot of quieter, more atmospheric moments really appeals to me. Plus that art style is lovely, like a 3D Hotline Miami

This has a very original look, can't quite decide if I like it or not! That's the kind of game that should have a demo so we could give it a shot without having to shell out the full price

The lifestyle aspect of going back to your apartment, and travelling sounds really interesting, and a good way of immersing yourself in the seemingly interesting fantasy world

Seems like We Happy Few storyline beginning meets the old Apogee art aesthetic, very intriguing. The art style also reminds me of Catacomb Abyss and Wolfestein 3D, ah memories. Thanks Gents!

From the footage I really like the atmosphere in the game is heavier then at first glance in those dark corridors there is a feeling of something lingering in the darkness

If you like this style I would also recommend Post Void. It's a lot wackier and weirder, and a lot shorter, but it's a fun little shooter.

I've more recently gotten back into "boomer shooters". It started as a nostalgia for Doom and Quake from my childhood, but it's led me to want more unique and interesting shooters. I recently played through Post Void and loved the premise and art style, but it's so short I just want more! I'm glad I held back on adding to my backlog in December, because I'm going to have to get this one in February.

It really feels like the limitations of the switch or even the smaller development to teams lead to more and more creative games. Love how this looks, the world seems heavy and ominous kinda like katana zero meets cyberpunk. If I don't win I'm definitely gonna be getting this

having the same issue on the canada NA region eshop not sure if thats the issue... or if its been delayed/had some bugs or copy issues? not able to find any info online i searched hours coming across your comment and 1 other. I have a SwitchUP account too i rely on the Lads to give the best reviews and let me know about the best games i own, hence them being the only reviewers i know i can always rely on i rushed to the eshop just a couple hours ago from 2 am on Feb 19 2024, tried a bunch of different searches keeps coming up 0...nothin...

The art style is interesting. I like the cyberpunk aesthetic and the 2d sprites in a 3d world. The gameplay looks fun. I think I'll try the demo on Steam and see if it clicks with me.
