The interior of the wardrobe looks like a dirty yellow, can see why you’re not happy. Whole room looks amazing and your child will love to learn and grown in the room too!

Hello there. It looks stunning. All the hard work has paid off. I agree with you about wardrobe interior. Regarding the socket screws... are you a horizontal or diagonal man 🤣🤣 Enjoy all the hours you will spend in the nursery ( watching night time turn in to morning ) lol. Look forward to the next video. Have a good day.

Hi, great job on this. I notice you put on the radiator the drayton wiser thermostatic trv's, do these disturb baby? Have you changed back to a normal trv? Just wondering as looking at the wiser equipment but have 2 children, ages 6 and 3, dont want to give them an excuse to wake up! Also, how long are the batteries lasting in the TRV's and thermostat, have you had to change them yet?

Hi, Thank you, I have actually just filmed the 12 month review of the wiser system. Which will be coming on in about 2 weeks. To be honest I don’t even notice them now. It doesn’t seem to bother the little man. Im pretty sure also, Iv read the new ones have been updated so are quieter too now. The batteries that came with them lasted about 8 months. I have changed them for Lithium ION, about 6-8 weeks ago, so am keeping an eye on that.

Great thank you. I would yes, I go in to detail on my thoughts of whether its cost effective or not. My opinion is its a luxury. I loved Nest that we had before, however we wont be switching back from this.

The wall mural looks awesome, it certainly makes a statement in the room. Not sure on that wardrobe inside though, inside reminds me when you walk into a smokers house and the walls are stained that colour from all the nicotine..... albeit it is on the inside but if this is a custom job your expectations are often higher and I would be disappointed with this for sure. I am not sure about a wardrobe directly behind a door that opens on to it in a childs room, I often when kids are running around the door gets slammed into whatever is behind it unless you have a fixed door stop. If you are changing the door have you thought about going for a pocket door??? They usually come with soft closers so little fingers don't get trapped but I thought it may free up that space a little. Just a suggestion.

Agreed, thats what we said regards the interior. As for not what putting the wardrobes in an alcove that was otherwise wasted space, would seem silly to me to take up space elsewhere in the room, when as you say a door stop is the very simple solution. A pocket door has been suggested before, but certainly not my cup of tea, so will leave as is.

I didn't say not to put the wardrobe in the alcove, i said I wasn't really sure about it as I imagine most people tend to avoid doors opening onto doors. We had the same set up and we ripped out the wardrobe as the door just kept getting pushed into the wardrobe and utilised the space differently. However if we had the room for a pocket door I would have jumped at the chance as they really open up the space. I have seen them installed in a few homes and they really change the space. It is each to their own and some folk prefer a more tradition or conventional set up. I hope you get the wardrobe sorted out.

As you say, that is a simple fix by the door stop being installed on the floor stopping the door opening on to them or care just being taken by those using the door, Making it far from a problem. As for a pocket door, besides it not being something I like, but we have to be practical, with not needing to build a whole new wall to house a door, thus making the space smaller. As you say each to their own and Im over the moon with what we have created as it works perfectly and efficiently utilises the space available and keeping the whole house with the same features throughout…such as normal doors.

@@DIYJourney1 I would hope you like the home you have created as you have to live in it, not much point if you didn't. Lol. I also get the fact that you really don't like a pocket door, it was just a suggestion I am not making you have one. Lol

paint the rad, all designers recommend to blend the rad to the wall, all the rest looks fab. Also the dark cream is orrible, why don't you get your roller out and zinsser BIN the inside, then put your wall colour on the inside of the wardrobe as well as the radiator as Valspar wood and metal paint will go over the zinsser and is also good for rads. Seems a shame to stop there after all the hard work and excellence of the rest of the job.

I will not be painting a brand new radiator that would look horrendous, but thank you for your words. Response to edited version: I would rather replace any substandard items than paint, you would never get a good finish from an “aftermarket” application. Which will be done at a more cost effective time, there is a much bigger picture to consider, particularly as the doors are closed and the wardrobe is now full of clothes. Its worth noting for your future comments on when a video was done and also your choice of words 🙂
