He explained why. The games code was bugged from the get-go, making it harder to develop with, so dev is remaking it to work like how it should have, actually W dev. My only hope is they reuse the old stuff to speed up development and maybe give gamepasses to the people who bought them in the old game.

something to keep in mind is that ouw isnt just making pjs 2 for the sake of it, its just that the code of the first game was so ass that its more worthwhile both from a time and money perspective to "remake" the game with better code so that it can be updated consitantly

They have confirmed so far that they are completely revamping each breathing to streamline it, and make it better, hence why they aren't, for example, doing cross progression levels wise. They have however confirmed that they will be doing all they can to transfer rare clans, and relevant gamepasses such as the Muzan notifier.
