This is a very good discussion. We need this kind of new plan and ideas. But, I reckon the IT field won't survive in this country for two years at least with the present situation because experienced IT employees are leaving the country massively. You know how important it is to have senior / experienced engineers in a company if we think about the quality of a product. Someone can argue that juniors can learn through study materials and perform quickly but experiences matter definitely. Because designing ability and problems solving skills are improved with experience. So the government has a massive responsibility to listen to the employees and solve their common problems ASAP (never gonna happen). Most of them are leaving the country for themselves and their children because we can't see the future of this country honestly (bloody bastards have no vision to develop the country). And the demand for the IT industry is growing hugely in Europe and Scandinavia. We know the quality of living in those countries and it attracts our experienced employees. Luckily within the next 10 years, Sri Lanka will have the highest youth population ever had but unfortunately, the management of the country is not advanced enough to consume it. I'm sorry for commenting on these negative ideas but I think the first thing we should do is risk management before anything.
