Paul Estes - K5VOP From what I hear RE tends to lift higher than advertised

That RE track bar has been on that jeep for 4 years of daily driving and wheeling and is still fine.

right you can just unbolt it from the back and put the new one on without taking the castle nut off and hammering it out.

Yes we did drill the hole in the spring perch, as well as the shims we used.

+Aaron Armelin You can use any adjustable control arm, when you pull out the old ones, do them one at a time, and match the length on the ground, you might need to extend them when you do a lift. Here is the rubicon express adjustable control arm kit: www.quadratec.com/products/16312_103_07.htm

You will need the RE1225 u-bolts if you have the 8.25

Yes, the rear sway bar was removed and not replaced.

What ended up being the problem? I'm doing this kit but with a better track bar and proper sye instead of the t case drop that defeats the point of the lift

We did have to drill out the upper rear shock mounts, and we replaced them with Bar pin eliminators.

The Tcase lowering kit he posted says it is a 1" kit. I am wondering if that is sufficient or if shims or anything else is needed to prevent vibration. I guess it is vehicle specific but it'd be nice to have an idea so I don't have to order parts after the jeep is in parts in the garage because what they show here isn't sufficient. Mine is a 2000 XJ Sport so I guess I'll talk to the Quadratec service guys.

@@prephampaulk5vop320 it was a 1" t-case lowering kit. It did work for the most part, there was still a bit of vibration, so I ended up doing a SYE kit, and used a XJ front driveshaft for the rear, that took care of all the vibration.

Nathan Martin Yes we did do an SYE.

Quadratec what is a SYE?

SYE or slip yoke eliminator eliminates the slip yoke from your transfer case output. It normally will connect to your driveshaft and transfers power from the transfer case to your driveshaft.

Other manufacturers make a pretty easy fix for this problem.

Flag pin eliminator kits are cheap. Just order that before replacing shocks.

Kaipo Fitisemanu Have you already installed a lift kit? Are you experiencing driveline vibration? Based on the longer length of your 2wd drive shaft you might not need a transfer case drop (which is actually spacers that lower the transmission skid plate below the transmission)

I'm not experiencing any wobble or grinding. I have the stock auspension still and I am just trying to understand all the components of my jeep before buying a lift kit. This seems like the best one I've come across so far so ill probably be getting this one

Kaipo Fitisemanu We've never dealt with a lift this big on a 2wd, so we are just not sure if you would actually need it. That is a pretty inexpensive part of the kit, might be worth getting and hanging onto it to see if you need it. We do accept returns of unused products for 30 days.

I'd guess 31"x10.50. That about the biggest you can fit on 3.5" lifts, without rubbing or cutting fenders

225-245/70-15s I think is the equivalent of measurement,. I have the same tires on mine.

Yeah, when I did mine I lost about 3 mpg, but that's including really thick treaded tires

i think the larger tires lower gas mileage, not the lift it self. but most everyone that put a lift on also put on larger tires
