This was a bus that I was hoping to buy but sold later that day before I made my final decision.

@@lyfelegionalpha9118 Same. I remember Wayne had models from 1982, 1984-87 at my old hometown. Marlton NJ 08053. Evesham Township Schools had Wayne Lifeguards #s 2, 16, and 29-34.

I rode in these in middle school when it was LAIDLAW and it was an "8 Window" short model

Second bus I drove in my school bus driving career. It was also my first automatic. Took some getting used to as I was used to my standard GMC. My poor old international had been abused by the driver that it before me, so she had seen better days by the time i got her. Could put it right to the floor and she'd struggle to get up to 50 km per hour. Will say though that it was a reliable old beast, started up on a cold winter morning without hesitation. It retired after my second year with it and an old couple bought it and turned it into a motor home. My boss told me that and I said Jesus really! Didn't think the old girl had that kinda life left in her.

Is this a 7.3 idi or a 9 liter cause they both sound pretty much the same the 9.0 is a little more throaty and louder then the 7.3. Both are absolutely gutless but will survive the apocalypse if they are non turbo. They where great old engines. I have a 88 s1700 bluebird 60 pass from south Carolina state auction got it for 300 bucks and I have a 86 chevy Thomas with the 366 tall deck big block love that bus it will blow the stop signs off the old diesel buses both of mine have the whiney allison 545

It was either a 6.9 IDI or a 7.3 IDI

Either a 6.9 or a 7.3, not totally sure.

@@GMC6523 someone else bought it to use as a food truck but they ended up not doing anything with it and they're trying to sell it for 4 times the price haha
