Hot Shot's Secret FR3 boosted motor oil compared to straight Mobil 1 Annual Protection. Tested friction reduction capability and evaporative loss when exposed to heat. Fuel efficiency tested in fuel injected generator 4 cycle engine both with and without Hot Shot's Secret FR3. Hot Shot's Secret FR3 sent to an oil testing lab for analysis.

I could use your help in the future. If you'd like to help me decide on which products to test, please consider subscribing to the channel. I occasionally ask viewers to vote on which products to test and KZfaq only informs those subscribed to the channel that there's an opportunity to vote. kzfaq.info/love/2rzsm1Qi6N1X-wuOg_p0Ng You'll also need to select the "bell" to get the notification. Thank you very much and look forward to many more product test reviews. Todd

I just wanted to mention again that your testing methodologies have improved immensely from the early days. At this point, you pretty much set the bar for testing outside an ultra controlled lab. Simulating real world uses and answering the real people's questions. When questions do require a lab and specialized equipment, you ship the product off to a certified lab. Transparency and honesty in the sunshine. Well done, sir.

A baffle box is usually the best method. Most of the noise is from the engine and generator itself. A baffle box is lined with egg crate foam or other sound absorbing material, with openings and exits for cooling air that are built as long hairpin baffles. The sound must hit the foam if the baffles over and over again in order to escape from the cooling air inlet and outlet. The muffler can be extended out of the box and upgraded to a larger one from a small car to be quieter. After all that, going to a Honda generator is the only way to get more noise reduction. Those Hondas are sweet.

I wonder if he could accept some products from the manufacturers but tell them they will be tested the same as the other products and if they fail, they fail. My car dealership said that their engine oil is better than the one I use (pennzoil ultra platinum full synthetic). They claim that their oil will protect the engine better because it's made for it. I doubt the oil is specifically made for them and is better in quality. Can you test car manufacturer's branded oil vs name brand oil?

I agree with the anti wear properties of this formula. I experimented on my wife's 2007 Expedition 5.4 that is known to have loud VCT chatter. Needless to say, her Expedition is quieter than my mom's Honda Accord now. I was sold and use it in my 2017 Ford F250 6.7 every oil change. I actually use it in every engine that I can now. As for fuel milage claims, cooler running, and hp increases; I can't attest to that. It will definitely smooth out any internal combustion engine though. Thanks for all of your hard work and keeping us all well informed.

I was here to say basically the same thing... I yelled "no way!" so loudly I scared my wife when that generator sputtered and died at exactly 50:44. I don't believe that any more testing is required to disprove any efficiency claims. 2 tests to the exact second shows that adding a load or running it longer isn't going to change the results. If there'd been a couple minutes discrepancy, I'd say go for it, but the results speak for themselves. Nice going with this video PF!
@MattsAwesomeStuff
@MattsAwesomeStuff 4 жыл бұрын
Project Farm didn't highlight this hard enough. When the purpose of a test is to see whether it last longer, and it lasts exactly the same amount, I'd like a little narration or editorializing of that context. "Blah is supposed to increase the fuel efficiency. A 30 second difference would have been 1% improvement. For example in your car to go from 30mpg to 30.3 mpg. But we saw exactly the same efficiency, down to the second. Not 1%, not even a tenth of 1%. It looks like that manufacturer claim is completely unfounded."
