Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

where else do u want him to build it? at the bottom of his base? at the front which is getting hit by howitzers? at the top so he is hitting is teammate above him? behind his base so the firebeams hit the wall? he had basically no choice. also, his teammate might have built his cannons there first, but he proceeded to obnoxiously fire them into incursus's portals even though he knows they're there.

@@thedolphin602 So, he should have just deleted the weaponry he had priorly made. He spent resources on that. You know very well if the roles would reverse, the issue would still be the teammate. If incurses had made his weapon towards the bottom of his base, everyone would be up in arms about the teammate building up into his way. However, I admit that incurses would not have shot at his friends on purpose in anyway unless it was a necessary sacrifice. Mind you this player though was being bombarded the entire match by his allies attacks being reflected right at him.

@@Nicolai-Syn "If incurses had made his weapon towards the bottom of his base, everyone would be up in arms about the teammate building up into his way." probably not because, 1: incursus wont build his cannons at the bottom of his base and two, people like you(there are plenty) will comment saying that it was incursus's fault instead of the teammates. "Mind you this player though was being bombarded the entire match by his allies attacks being reflected right at him." its not only him. all the other bases were getting hit by reflected firebeams too. and anyway, how does that have anyhting to do with him firing his cannon into incursus's base? if anything he should save those resources and use them to build weapons higher up to actually do damage, or build more energy shields.

Also the fact that team mate built the guns at least ten minutes before Incursus extended his base in front of them. It's hilarious how angry he was getting when he was 100% at fault for the friendly fire.

@@p4n1k49 Noob or not Incursus was at fault for his own friendly fire incidents. In this case despite his teammates poor weapon placement he built in front of his teammates weapons with portals pointed in at batteries and his core which he is lucky didn't kill him right away.

I see how it works, keep them constantly on fire but it relies on your opponent not firing back and using energy shields. That 2nd match was a prime example of it, they fired right back and used energy shields which caused your team to set itself on fire.

Honestly this exploit adds another non-conventional way of using standard weapons. T3 Mortars? These weren't intended but still are powerful in tight hands. In my opinion they should give more options for defending that then struggle with fixing non'broken thing. 👀

@@simplysmiley4670 T3 everything, really; just add a couple portals and aim low, no needs for complex slanting and explosive mistakes. Redirect incoming fire into the ground and essentially nullify all of the damage with just a portal and a shield behind it.

He dealed the most damage throughout and the last dude was annoying. He had only 1 20mm back there, really useless at that moment. Could have build cannons or multiple 20mm at the top of his own base... Ah wait, it was actually Incursus himself that tried to do just that and not the dude himself. Granted, in that match he killed himself by hitting the teammate above with the firebeam lmao

Actually played against him when he was using a different name (didnt know at the time but I made it into a video) I almost killed him before he even fired. But then I figured another target was more lucrative, and my teammates just flat out sucked. When I was the last one, I just said "I Yeild" and Incursus was so confused, I just deleted my foundation. lol If I had known He was Bottom base I would have kept on him!

My idea for fixing it is to make it so a firebeam has to focus on a spot for a bit of time before it ignites instead of instantly igniting

Did you know that it's already been patched? Incursus said it himself on his stream yesturday "I have a video on the backburner, I'm gonna wait till it's patched then I'll release it. This way people won't use this exploit" this is the video mentioned

@@meepmweep What if they make it so instead of a set distance they make the fire beam penetrate material that's been on fire for X amount of time to where a single fire beam does the usual, sweeping it only burns the surface, and chaining fire beams in a single spot penetrates farther and father.

I think the best solution is to make fire stack, so if you just sweep it will be on fire for a second or 2, but if you focus it will stay on fire longer.

I'd say this is one where both parties are at fault. He shouldn't have blocked the guys cannons, but the guy shouldn't have fired them when they were blocked, and should've said something in chat. That being said, I feel like he's a bit outta line getting mad at his teammate over it like that while completely ignoring that the teammate COULDN'T do that if he hadn't blocked his teammates cannons

It always throws me off when the quality drops to the point where i feel like i need bottle glasses then all of a sudden becomes so silky smooth, always messes with my mind, but i love it. Anyway, enough about that, love the videos (rewatching 'em all, video quality on my end just drove me to comment here)

I mean, a simple fix to this exploit would be to just not allow portals to dangle; you HAVE to connect both ends to something, suddenly, it's WAY harder to swing a portal.

just two weapons blocked, and his teammate could've expanded outwards, which was actually what he should have done instead of basically invading incursus's space and placing cannons there. also he knew that incursus had portals but he shot his weapons anyway, so its fair to be surprised.

I’m pretty sure if you aim the laser in your base towards the bottom of the portal they will come out of the exiting portal lower and with the swing it may be able to reach higher and hit those top bases

I still want to see what happens if you have two energy shields at a 90 degree angle. The laser should be sent parallel back at the weapon.
