In this video I’m showing you how to replace the grill on your R53 Mini Cooper S, this should be the exact same on all first generation Mini Coopers excluding the JCW.

if you have problems with the lower grill snap in clips not staying in place, a tip I used was to use a heat gun and gently bend the clips out, so they apply more pressure in the slots. Worked for me so far.

Thank you for this excellent video. I’m doing it and a full dechrome on Saturday and I’m just reminding my self. I have Gen 1 R50 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works. Converted at John Cooper Garages just before they sold out to BMW.
