I know it's way past time... However, if anyone else is doing your tract project,,, ad some soap, (rub a dry bar) to your pressure points where you were rubbing, bet it'll just slide right up... Trick works on anything you make slide... Teal, something tells me you probably had a bunch of guys try to come by to help .... 😊

I found your channel after watching a lot of couples/family channels and not sure why you did not come up sooner since you have been doing it for so long. Out of all the boats, some new and retro's you guys have to have one of the cleanest, sharpest, most detailed boats inside and out thanks to all your hard work maintaining and upgrading. That has to be satisfying. I just hope you can start sailing and enjoying more across the Pacific and around the world. Teal is so good and meticulous and Linh is such a tiny sparkplug of pretty excitement. What great parents and Emma is such a mature and fun young person. God bless on your continued sailing. Enjoy!!

The best thing about this channel is the amazing family relationship these parents have developed with their daughter. What a poised, intelligent, talented and sensible girl she is. No doubt Emma is destined for continued adventures and a fulfilling adulthood.

Great job Ladies!!! Teal's ligament must not be fully healed, seams he cannot apply much downward force of his razor on his face! LOL Happy you took the Dr.'s advice and let that arm rest and heal. Your crew is more than capable and gained a lot more confidence, knowledge of boat systems and boat handling skills.

Any boat on the water would be lucky to have this crew onboard! Way to go everyone, as a dad of two daughters I always told them they could do anything, pay no attention to what is considered "normal" roles for women. The other thing is that here in the northern U.S. we hear " stay away from Mexico, or south America altogether" Its dangerous, even the resorts are not safe at this time. But then I see all the cruisers down there having the time of their lives. It looks like the people are friendly and the towns are just beautiful, and the food! I guess you can't believe everything you see on the evening news. Stay healthy and sail on Basik crew!

Well, the point is the gangs and drug lords have not much interest in those local little communities they go to. In bigger agglomerations, the poverty that the drug trade sow, provoque pity crimes, ask Mads. As far as the resorts are concerned, there seems to be no feedback on inquiries why some tourist expire. I propose to always be gentle with staff in resorts, do not make a Karen out of yourself and be alert and aware.

Emma is learning from the best. Teal is so patient with her and loves teaching her everything she needs to be self sufficient. We have absolutely loved our time in Mexico. You are right, what is being portrayed in the news is very different than what we have experienced. The people here are so good, generous, happy, and willing to help you. We feel very lucky to get to enjoy the real Mexico. Cheers!

You are correct! It felt like a Chris White Mecca in La Cruz. We saw a CW Atlantic 49 Mast Foil, a CW Atlantic 70F, and a CW Atlantic 42.

While in Yalapa...Tacos Los Abuelos. Hard to Find. Up an Alley, Next to Laundromat. Fresh Blue Corn Tortillas, That Are Gluten Free! They Even Serve Octopus. Avoid the Yacht Club :)

Thanks Rick! We didn't want to use any lubricant because it tends to gum up those areas even when they say it won't. Plus, we wanted to show we have some muscle. Lol

On my 36 foot cat I used silicone spay for years on sail slides and tracks. Works great on the odd rigging sqeak too. Never had a negative issue with the spray. Love your videos, enjoy your cruising. Cheers.

Surprisingly, it's much cheaper to be able to do it yourself. Boat maintenance in no more different than working and improving a house. It just takes more effort since we are constantly on the move and parts are a bit harder to find sometimes. Cheers my friend!

That injury to the "kindest" OCD Captain in the Pacific was no doubt the best thing to happen to the ladies aboard.... they now know they can handle almost every chore the Captain would do... and complete them with confidence.

Its good you have helpers, but it worries me they don't have the psychical strength tp push enough to avoid damage to screw heads, but i may be wrong. Cheers from Oz.

That was a loaner from a friend of ours. It's a Sailrite and the leading standard for cruisers. Heavy duty machine that takes care of all your sewing needs on a boat with a small footprint. One day, I will get one for myself.

Way too late for advice, but a can of WD40 or detergent water mix (they usually contain surfactants to make thinks slippery when wet) would have made the sliding of the track a lot easier.
