Proko should have put this stuff on the main channel, imo. I know drawing and painting are the most popular types of videos, but these sculpting videos give lots of insight that is useful to any artist, and it could potentially turn people onto a new medium if they get curious enough.

I often open up blender and sculpt models from time to time. It really helps when I forget things. Rather, it influenced the way I paint. I don't even do much construction lines, I'd prefer construction shapes/forms instead. Just, "sculpting" the painting instead.

Yeah I felt the same way but I understand why they chose to branch off onto another channel. It is good to have content that the audience is looking for and expecting and sculpture stuff is a bit different. But yes many of the same principles can be applied to drawing or sculpting.

As a pencil/paper and digital artist, learning sculpting techniques helped me learn bone structure and 3D features more than drawing tutorials ever have. Hands-on approach is for me

If I did a sculpture with the iris and pupil dug out, could that be filled in with clear resin and still keep the illusion?

De todos los tutoriales de construcción de rostros, el suyo fue el más didáctico y excelente verlo hacer una parte del rostro con lujo de detalles.... You are amazing artcouch of face clay . Fue lo primero que hice al terminar mi escuela de moda.....una cara en arcilla, y se me dió como natural.....30 años después vuelvo a querer hacerlo y aunque se que lo hago un dudo de la destreza con que algún día lo hice

Can you do another video that focuses on Asian eyes (Chinese, Japanese, Korean)? Their eye structure seems to be a bit unique compared to other eye structures.

As someone who learned with water based clay, I cannot for the life of me wrap my mind around the concept of needing to heat up the clay in order to smooth it, which is why I've always stayed away from Oil Based Clay. In this video with this clay though you don't seem to be having to heat it up or use solvents or anything. Is that the case or was it just edited out? Lol. Thanks in advance

i think he said in a previous video that he heats it up with a heat gun but im not entirely sure

Yes the nice thing about natural clay is that it is extremely versatile and can be super soft and super hard whereas most oil based clays are a compromise. I did have a place I heat up the clay before working it and then I usually hold the clay in my hand to keep it warm. I prefer not having to worry about my sculptures drying out or molding but there are definitely compromises to different types of clay.
