This is a little video of the new proline Mx38s belted. Quick review and I also weigh all tires to see how heavy they are. Plus some other problems with the new hub rims.

@street rc, I'm also about to build an ET48.3. I feel the same. The mx38 badlands are too big. I'm looking for the lightest, closest to actual 'truggy' tire diameter. I've seen someone use Talion 6s wheels but they didn't leave feed back. those tires look about the right size and are plenty aggressive.please let me know what tire you go with and why. thanks

Mike Van I went with the belted mx38s. They are smaller and lighter than the regular onea

HELLO THERE RAINBOW RC WILL THIS MX38 WORK ON TRAXXAS WIDE MAXX V2 STOCK GEARING ?????

would I get the tire without the rim and would it fit the original Revo-rim?
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
I think you can get them tire only and im sure they will fit. They are about the same size

Nice tires. When you said you are using loctite, do you mean using loctite on your wheel nut hubs so the tire doesn't come off so easily?
@Hittin2thabass Жыл бұрын
Yea I added loctite to the screws that go into the replaceable plastic hub. I wanted something that would hold better than nothing but not be super glue tight bc I have lost screws in the past on those hubs
@joseCalderon1976 Жыл бұрын
@@Hittin2thabass From what I understand, loctite is not designed to be used in plastic parts. That's why I never do that 🤔

Did you feel like the compound is to hard on the belted tire? I bought the belted trenchers and felt like the compound of the tread was so hard they actually felt slick in the grass vs my original trenchers. Just curious if anyone else has felt this way?
@Hittin2thabass Жыл бұрын
Yea they are not as grippy as I would’ve thought

Have you used the belted badlands much? How do they compare to normal wheels?
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
MotorsRC4me well tbh they are good tires but the fact is they don’t balloon so you’ll lose that extra top end. I took them off and used the stock tires for now to compare
@MotorsRC3 жыл бұрын
@@Hittin2thabass yeah I did think that, my kraton struggles to run 60mph without lifting off when ballooning over a field. I'd be happy to run 50mph with the added stability. Many thanks

Is there any of the OG size badlands belted ?
@Hittin2thabass4 жыл бұрын
Uh I don’t believe. I could be wrong as they are releasing new stuff all the time. They have the smaller trencher belted now that I just realized.

@@Hittin2thabass ok cool thanks! Im looking for belted ones for a truggy im building, but these new belted mx look BIG ! More for MT's
@Hittin2thabass4 жыл бұрын
Street Rc yea it’s more of a monster truck tire . Imo the original badlands are too small for the e revo.

Are the belted mx38 worth it or should I stick with the stock wheels because I found out that belted tires are slower cause they don’t expand
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
For the e revo 2.0 I’d recommend the unbelted mx38s tbh
@xd_oligamz96363 жыл бұрын
@@Hittin2thabass Thanks. What wheels do you run on your erevo now?
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
Stock 2.0 rims and the mx38 tires. My servo went out and I been running my xmaxx and Maxx but it should have the 2.0 servo soon and have it back running
@xd_oligamz96363 жыл бұрын
@@Hittin2thabass Do the belted tires slow you down that much? is that why your running the non belted or are their others reasons?
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
Yea it definitely slows me down and there is too much side bite on the belted ones as well. Makes any truck that I put them on flip over. I’ve used them on my 2.0 my 3.3 revo and my Maxx and same result. Now they are really nice when it’s super sloppy muddy tho. They slow you down but it’s not a drastic difference. You aren’t losing 10+ mph or something but it’s slower. I will always keep them bc they are nice backups

the belted tires are awful , I litterally traded them for an unbelted set straight across and im so happy I did !!!
@Hittin2thabass3 жыл бұрын
Yea I don’t use the belted set unless I need to. They are good tires and all but the grip the sides too much so you roll over
