This Sidewinder esc is only rated at 90 amps I believe 🤔. Definitely WAY smoother throttle and braking 😰. Gobs of power in this platform. I have a love/hate relationship with my Proline. RC DUDE81 thanks so much Eric😂!!! Yeah our main spot got jacked up brother 🙄. Some bonehead thought he'd reface the jumps and butchered our favorite BIG gap jump and 2-3 others. These jumps are filled with large rock and concrete chunks. Once you expose them, your screwed. They just start crumbling away. Just waiting for rain to repack some quality dirt and get some nice faces back 👊. The other spot is Ridiculous 😨. Some jumps are over 8ft tall and steep as heck 😱. Definitely keeps you focused 😰👌👌. I try my best to get time there, but small kids show up and take the place over. Gotta love the sideways senders 😂🍻🤘🤘😨😨😨😎💪💪💪💪👊👊

ABC KID RC thanks so much Brother 👊!!! This Proline flips Crazier than any rig I own 😨. It could probably pull a double fronty to backflip or fronty to double BF🤔. It's very challenging to land smoothly though 😂. Likes to bounce all over with bigger hits. I've since reconfigured the shocks to improve stability and after bounce 👌. Trying to get caught up with footage still😜. One thing is for sure, this PLMT can huck pretty far for it's small size 👊🤘🤘😰😰😰😎💪💪💪💪👊👊

I wanna ask bro what rod ends do you recommend for kraton?

kimpee orais I highly recommend swapping out for Tekno MT410 rod ends with locking spring perches, TKR6140B. They're WAY beefier. Just want to use a 4mm screw to tap the rod end with before screwing onto a V3 Arrma shock shaft. Makes it much easier to get on. You also need the steel swivel balls, TKR5049A. Same size as the V1-V2 Arrma ones. 😎💪👊👊

Guys are adding a buttress to the chassis to support the suspension mounts. I've been carefully hammering mine straight by hand as needed so far. Rooster RC thicker is better for more dampening. She came with 50 weight and was super bouncy. I tried 60, 70, and finally 80 weight 😰. There's no droop screws on the Proline and it has remarkable travel for it's short wheelbase. I adjusted the shock angle outward on the arms to drop the ride height a touch. Did it to reduce up travel cuz my outdrive cups were breaking. Turns out she doesn't hop as much with landings anymore. 👌👌

Paul Clancy Arrma is my mainstay no doubt 😨!!! I'd get a roller on deal and build it up👊. At least you'll be starting with solid bones🍻🤘🤘😰😰😰😎💪👊👊

Happy New Year Brother 🤗. My guess is Proline wasn't prepared to deal with their new release hiccups and design shortcomings. I 100% recommend the MT41O over it. Not going to go into details, but the Proline truly had several flaws and weak spots. I got so frustrated with mine I parked it. 🍻😎💪👊👊

1dickycat thanks brother 👊!!! The Proline and Tekno are both quite durable I'd say. The Tekno is WAY easier to control being much bigger with longer wheelbase and wide stance. It's also silky smooth based on a racing platform. I personally find the Proline more MAD fun to bash cuz it's squirrelly and far more challenging 👊. The 2 are drastically different in design, size, and handling. One factor to consider is that the Proline has established flaws that need to be overcome. This is well covered on the Forums. They offer unique experiences no doubt. Can't say which is better. That's just too subjective. 🤘🤘😨😨😨😎💪💪💪👊👊

Understandable! Sounds like the tekno would be a better choose choice for me. Is there anything to "upgrade" to a tekno, in you option, or is it truly 100% fully good to go out of the box? 📦 📦 BTW Planning to run the max 8/4272 combo on 4s most likely..

1dickycat it's sorta fully good. Highly recommend Tekno upgraded metal spur, aluminum servo horn, and aluminum shock caps. If you're planning on sending it off BIG jumps, M2C Racing solid center brace and Go Big rear bracing system are highly recommended. The rest is up to you. PS, that system rips 😰!!!

Seems reasonable. Still within my goal price so I may just do them while I'm biulding it. And that's what I thought, tho there are the guys running max 6's and 5's in them... I KNOW thats a lil too much for me 😅😅

1dickycat max8 is plenty and still just fits with stock configuration with the ESC mounted sideways. Overkill systems are better in a longer truggy perhaps. There's really only so much usable power you can actually get to the ground. 👌👌

Eric Dunlap I cut mine 10.5 inches. Bought mine from Home Depot in the hardware area. Simply zip tied each end down. Some have used graphite tubing and bolted each end to the towers. Whatever works to limit chassis flex and protect the center driveline. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

humble rc I'm not using an external bec. My servo is a 20$ JX model. Can't recall the specs, but it's just enough 👌. This combo ran great in my Slash too. I'd consider a bec if I needed it, but am happy overall. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I'm running 100k/1 million/50k front to rear diffs. Blanking out on the shocks🤔. Think I settled on 80 weight front/rear. Works well with 4s and 1/8 electronics. 😎💪👊👊

Paul Clancy the Talion is WAY more dialed in the handling department. Not sure if you saw my "Steering Slop Mod" video awhile back, but that's been a major improvement for me and several others. This truck has a few flaws in stock form no doubt. Get on the Facebook Proline ProMT 4x4 Owners Forum if you want to make it solid 👊. Tons of tricks and tips at your finger tips. Many are directly from Proline as well. Just depends on how much you enjoy modifying to make things right. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Explains why 4S geared to the moon doesn't overheat. That motor and a 4S pack probably weighs 2/3's as much as the truck! Did it require cvd/diff upgrades to handle the torque of 1/8th scale system? I know the stampede needs that. I only run 2S with a 1/10th castle sctv3/3800kv in it and I was burning through stock sliders on a frequent basis until I upgraded to MIP X-duty's.

Bryan L this truck was designed from the ground up to handle 4s with 1/8 scale electronics. It's a 1/10 truck with all 1/8 components. Comes with 3 diff set up and all steel driveline. Lots of innovation and thought went into the engineering and design. There isn't another 1/10th size MT on the market like it. It's the first of it's kind. Hats off to Proline for filling a void 👊. No diff or CVD upgrade needed here. As far as pinion size, that's also dependant on the final gear ratio. This truck doesn't lose mesh EVER thanks to the motor mount system. She can take pinions between 14-21T. I would normally gear my Arrmas between 18-20T if running only 4s. 🤘🤘

Surprised you can run that tall of gearing on an arrma 1/8th scale. My outcast overheats when running proline trenchers with 15/50 gearing after a short while in the grass. I just put smaller tires/wheels on it (traxxas emaxx 0 offest) and ran it hard for 2 sets of 7400mah 4S back to back. Seems ok now. Was about 50/50 grass/pavement at the skate park, but I was on throttle most of 23-25 minutes and it didn't falter on me. It was 85F with high humidity.

Bryan L yeah full throttle action and grass running definitely heats these rigs up 😱. Running smaller/lighter wheels definitely helps. I watch my temps closer during the summer and gear down as needed 👊. Also run smaller/lighter packs so my runs are shorter. 🍻

RC Propaganda no doubt brother 👊!!! This rig is pretty darn durable overall. That said, it will break if you beat on it enough or spike it into the ground 😨. I'd strongly consider an Arrma 6s rig if you don't have one. They have tons of aftermarket support too. Good luck with whatever you choose👌🙋🙋😅😅😅😎💪👊👊

Zack Edes I wouldn't run it in the Kraton personally. 2200kv is too high IMHO for the heavier Kraton. Better to run 1700-2000kv. The smaller Sidewinder esc would likely overheat on 6s too. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Zack Edes look carefully at the motor specs. The 1800kv 1512 is only rated to 9lbs I believe 🤔. You want a motor that is sized at least 4074-4276 range (40-42mm diameter, 74-76mm length) It's easy to accidentally by a smaller buggy motor and not have the power your looking for. I'm not a Castle expert, just wanted to make sure you don't buy something too small. 😎💪👊👊

Think my Hybrid one overheated or simply failed 🤔. You might shop for a Hobbywing quicrun 150A. They sometimes sell for cheap off eBay. You can grab a new BLX for 65$ off Lumidave35 eBay too. 😎💪👊👊
