I discovered Dead Meat several years ago while I was in college. It was the first summer that I stayed at school, and all my roommates had left. That remake is one I've seen many times than original movie here: although I don't hate it (unlike Zombie's Halloween), I'm still bitterly disappointed with 😒😕 as no whodunit mystery masked killer (leaving identity motive until end), downgraded/off-screen kills, some characters make stupid decisions etc

I don’t know about underrated as it is pretty well known and it’s not as good as The Burning, The Prowler, Just Before Dawn or The House on Sorority Row which are less known. In fact it might be a little overrated

It’s my birthday today (my golden year birthday in fact!) and considering that Dead Meat has been covering mostly masterclass films for the past few weeks, this is definitely a pretty odd pick for the week of my birthday but it seems to be fairly a cult classic. I'm so pleased that original Prom Night 🕺🪩 movie (an early version of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with young pretty Jamie Lee Curtis) this week - which *I requested numerous times* and one of best 1980s slashers I've seen many times along with The Shining and Child's Play (much better than original Friday the 13th)

I wanted to say something about how much the quality of your videos have improved. I have been watching you since I was in college, and the progression this channel has made is incredible. I am so excited and delighted that you have been focusing on more horror from the past that may not be highly known outside of the horror community. The addition of background set and actor information has really made this channel come into it's own. Sometimes, I wish you would do the same type of commentary here (comedy mixed with information about the films) but in a new series where kill counts aren't the main focus. I love the kill counts and never want them to end, but I would also love to see videos about old school movies from the 70s and 80s where we are given more in depth details. You guys are such a delight to watch. I also love seeing the friendship between you and Zoren.

James does the kill counts because he's passionate about horror. He doesn't seem as passionate for other types of movies, so I don't think you'll ever see an idea like yours on this channel from this youtuber.

The worst part is that even though I commented early, the bot’s comment got three times as many likes and everybody in the reply section was saying “happy birthday” unaware it was stolen. I’m really glad they panicked and deleted it because I was totally rioting in the replies and calling them out

Wendy's chase scene is one of the best ever in horror. I like that despite being the cliche "bitchy girl," she is treated sympathetically as she fights for her life. It's such a long chase, and you really start to believe she can make it. The fact that the killer sprints after her makes it even more intense.
