Prometheus, a figure from Greek mythology, was a titan known for his cunning intelligence and rebellious spirit. He defied the gods by stealing fire from Mount Olympus and gifting it to humanity, empowering them with knowledge and progress. This act of defiance incurred the wrath of Zeus, the king of the gods, leading to Prometheus being punished. Chained to a rock, an eagle would daily feast upon his liver, which regenerated each night due to his immortality. Prometheus embodies the archetype of the benefactor who sacrifices for the betterment of others, symbolizing the human pursuit of knowledge and advancement. His tale resonates through time, reflecting the eternal struggle between innovation, the pursuit of knowledge, and the consequences of challenging established norms and powers.
