Creating an artificial intelligece would be one of the worst mistakes ever. We already do that but we call it having children and they sooner or later follow their own path wit good and bad results. They are however limited by being human. An artificial intelligence one it becomes aware of how things are in our world and if given or attains free will would soon try to save us (we see how some of us react to that with covid and mask wearing) or choose to remove us. Any artificial intelligence cannot be allowed free will or self awareness but there is no way to prevent that.
