Happy New Year! Squeezing in my December upload at the laaast possible moment. ;) This was requested by My Hero Media-Verse, so thank you for your patience! It took me a lot longer than some because I struggled a lot with the lyrics, as well as getting the vocals to where I wanted them and coming up with a video idea. 😅 But I wanted to end the year with a cover looking towards the future!
Beyond Generations was ... fine, lol. I know it was more about Century/Revice/Saber than anyone else, but I thought it was neat they brought it back to Hongo and the anniversary of the franchise, so I wanted to make the video about him. :)

Promise, to me, fits not only Kamen Rider, but all superheroes fictional and real. What makes a hero isn’t just about saving the day, it’s about fulfilling a promise they made. Whether it’s a promise a father made to his son or a boy promising himself to use the great power he has with a greater responsibility, a hero will always follow on that promise no matter what.

This song just shows how much Kamen rider means to people. Honestly imo Kamen rider is more of a symbol of hope than superman. I love Kamen rider. I love this song. And I love this English cover of said song. You my friend showed what Kamen rider means to people whether they live in or outside of japan

Thank you and YES!! I'm so glad the feeling was conveyed ... I think the fact that most Kamen Riders start out as just a regular guy who often fights and struggles and doesn't always win makes it really relatable and inspiring. :) I hope it continues to get more popular everywhere too!

I can't help but cry every time I hear this song. I cheered when Hideo and Ryunosuke together henshined into Kamen Rider Century... I cried when Ryunosuke started to fade from the timeline... I smiled when Rintaro finally confessed his feelings for Mei... I laughed when I learned that Hiroshi's own son took up the role of his father's character... And this song embodies all of those feelings, and I am happy to say that this version carries the same energy as the original... Now I'm going to go into a corner and let out the tears I was holding in to write this comment

MEI SUDO LUCKIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD ... mr. fujioka jr. looking incredibly cool 😭 Thank you so much and I'm glad the cover was able to convey the feelings inspired by the original! Dude i swear this song makes me cry and the part where takeshi slowly becomes ichigo is so tear jerking. i remember watching the kamen rider ichigo series, knowing takeshi slowly striping his humanity to fight evil is a much sacrifice greater than even spider man does to me.

I love how your cover make it seems to be in Hongo's POV and what he's willing to do to help and encourage us. I can imagine in the final parts, Ichimonji Hayato helping him to his feet, followed by all the other Riders after them encouraging Hongo in return. Promise is one of the most positive songs I've heard in a long while, and you made it even better, thank you.
