Some tips for 2nd phase: You HAVE to stay REALLY close to him when he's doing his combos - like basically hugging him. His combos are all the same as the first phase, just with laser beams so you get punished if you dodge away or in the wrong direction. If you find yourself at medium distance when he starts a combo, always try to dodge into him to get close and continue dodging there. Especially with the combo that usually starts with a foot ground slam and ends with him slamming his blades down and sending out a big laser shockwave - you need to dodge LEFT then RIGHT on the two fast swings during it to avoid the lasers. With the laser beams that go out and all around him at the end after the slam, you need to dodge inwards and punish - NOT OUTWARDS. I think that you just need to recognise that he has only 2 long combos - the one with a bunch of double swings and spins that comes out really fast (the easiest one to dodge if you just stay under him), and the one that starts with him either stomping his foot or swinging his sword downwards and ends with the sword slam and him shooting out lasers everywhere (which I detailed in the second paragraph). With his afterimage BS - the one where he teleports into the sky quickly and then sends a bunch of holograms - You need to run to the LEFT and count the holograms. He sends out four and then lands on the 5th (meaning you dodge a little early on the count of 5) before doing a couple quick slashes to finish. When he jumps up and sends out the meteors, you have to sprint away and then quickly turn right just before they hit you, and then quickly turn back and continue running away to make his holograms miss you. Just like before with the other afterimage stuff, you’ve got to count the holograms (same count as the last one - he lands on 5) and dodge to the left, and then dodge inwards because he ALWAYS does the 360 laser beams attack. Oh and the grab doesn’t do anything if you get hit with it once - if you get hit with it twice it’s an instakill.

Also this is the last main boss of the DLC, its not an Optional boss that could be missed while still feeling like you completed the game/DLC. If you don't beat him, you didn't complete the DLC, it's that simple.

This is the prompt "What types of elements were utilized? Take into consideration elements like the structure, editing, video and audio techniques. Using this post as inspiration, share the link and respond to these prompts: What successful elements were used? How would you use them in your own video efforts? Give specific details." I've been procrastinating this assignment all week and afro just gave me the motivation to finish it.

This is what i have so far, what do you guys think?? This is an Elden Ring video from one of my favorite KZfaqrs, Afrosenju. He's fighting the new final boss from the expansion (DLC) and it's one of, if not the hardest boss they've ever created. I think the dude is hilarious. His commentary, the way he edits his videos (the death montages where he dies over and over are my favorite), the game itself. It's super fun watching him learn the bosses and die over and over and then eventually come out on top. The whole point of the game is to teach players not to give up and teach us how to overcome obstacles. His Elden Ring boss fight videos are usually structured in a way where he kind of does good in the beginning but still dies, then he gets his ass absolutely kicked over and over (this is where the death montages come in) and then EVENTUALLY he learns the patterns and overcomes the challenge, and he celebrates by screaming and being excited. Sometimes when he's losing he breaks things or takes a little break to go do something else and i think it's hilarious. Sometimes he'll even do 2 or 3 videos back to back of him just dying trying to learn the bosses moves, and then he'll do a "training" video where he reconfigures his character or picks up a new armor/weapon/spell. It's super fun watching him rage but it's equally fun watching him overcome his challenges. His editing is both visual and auditory.

Pretty much your entire writing is about what Afro is doing in the game. And not at all about how he’s maintaining audience engagement or what actual editing techniques he’s using that make the video successful. The professor doesn’t care about what elden ring is, nor do they need to know. That’s not what the question is at all. Nor do they care what the meaning behind elden ring is. So all your explanation of what Afro does in the game doesn’t explain why the content WORKS as something made for entertaining viewers. They need to know why the VIDEO about it works so well. Which you haven’t addressed at all. And yeah, obviously the editing is visual and audio. But HOW? What video editing techniques is he using? What audio techniques is he using? Let me give you some ideas since I want you to get a good grade: -major one: jump cuts in video. He doesn’t show all of his gameplay, only the entertaining parts. And he cuts from one clip to the next rather than showing all the boring downtime in between. You don’t have to explain what the downtime is. -loud noises with funny sound effects that grab and keep attention. Censoring himself in a humorous way by beeping out part of the words when he curses. Changing the music. He doesn’t just use game music. He changes it depending on what he’s trying to emphasize in the video, like intense fast paced music when he’s focusing. And on a psychological level: emotion. People gravitate toward intense emotion because it has tons of entertainment value. So afro repeatedly showing mostly the parts of his footage where he’s unnaturally angry keeps the audience engaged more than if he were showing content of him just calmly talking or doing nothing.

@@kidcosmo4891 Zeke gave great ideas but to add on a bit, you're writing too casually for a college essay, remove the swearing, remove the dude, these will lower the grade on their own. Another point you could (and probably should) talk about is how he appeals to his audience. He understands what we like to watch and what interests we have for example: the anime references and the specific choice of music. He also shows how he trusts his audience to know some things when he says he's going "home" at the end with ff14. All those choices are made because he understands his audience. Tie in this idea with the points that Zeke listed (which are more in line with the prompt) and you could write a pretty good essay.

Heavy weapon is the way to go for this fight. You have enough time for 1 charged R2 when you are able to punish, then use bloodhound step to dodge his holy light slashing combo in phase 2. The fight is actually pretty doable for the average gamer if you know when to attack and don’t get greedy.

I didn’t wanna say this but there’s a Deflecting Hardtear you can get from the first fire giant by the first grace that allows you to parry his attacks without taking damage and you can counter attack by pressing R2 after a parry. This came in clutch during his second phase 🔥 You got this Afro 💪

Tips for the fight: 1. SCADUTREE FRAGMENTS. First, you're HEAVILY injuring yourself with 15, atp it's like you cut your legs off and are raging that you can't walk. 18 is the best, but 16 is also good (You don't have to tho step two is most imp) 2. TALISMANS. Even more importantly is the talismans you're rocking. Mainly you want to go defensive, you can't win a race if all your points are in speed and 0 in stamina. Try using the DRAGONCREST GREATSHIELD TALISMAN (20% dmg reduction) You can also EASILY get another dmg reduction with the holy braid (22% dmg negation). Remember, this fight isn't much of a "beat as fast as possible" as it is more of a "endurance run". Also, your talisman combo is effiy lord of blood exultation only works for 20 secs and you most likely will get only 2 bleeds off the entire fight. The Claw talisman also doesn't pair well as you normally aren't jump attacking. I'd switch those two out with the defensive talismans. 3.ATTACKS: So far, you're learning really good on his attacks. Only advice I'd have to give is for the meteor attack to always dodge run and jump left when the meteors come, your lower body is invulnerable. Also, for the holy attacks to dodge most treat it like phase one, stay on HIM basically hug him you'll most of the time dodge his lights, he always tries to roll catch you. Remember, you're the elden lord. You WILL beat it.

That might work in Sekiro, but not against Radahn. Patience is absolutely essential. You can’t take any risks, the slightest mistake will get you killed in the blink of an eye. You hit him only when you are absolutely certain you have a safe window. Otherwise, you are dodging like mad.
