Why Study 📚 in Italy?

Today's video talks about the proof of funds, who can sponsor your education abroad, and how to get proof of funds for your Italy study visa.
Who can sponsor your education?
* Yourself
* Your parents
* Your spouse
* Your Siblings
* Your company
Who cannot sponsor?
* Your uncles and aunties ( if you guys don't share the same surnames)
* Your boss ( if he's sponsoring personally and through your company)
How To Apply?
Search online on the University of your choice and Crosscheck the admission requirements and deadline for your specific course
You can use the universitaly website to see all the courses and websites of the Italian universities. Use the International students section. Below👇 is the universitaly website.

Next, apply to the University (I strongly recommend Public universities)
Needed Documents for the pre-admission process
~ High school/ University transcript
~Motivation letter
~CV /resume ( complying with European format)
~ Student documents (Passport/ IDs etc)
~ Recommendation letter
~ English language proficiency certificate/ Letter from High school/ University stating that the student have formally studied in English
What to do while waiting for response from the University after applying ?
Get the needed documents for your student visa application plus start learning Italian by downloading apps like Duolingo
When Admitted?
After receiving a letter of admission from the University, you’ll need to pre-enrol at the university to help you get assistance in applying for your student visa.
How to Pre-enrol?
~ Translate all needed documents
~ certify documents by also getting a declaration of value of your degree/ high school certificate
~ Fill and send a letter to the University to pre-enrol
Needed Documents for student Visa?
~Valid Passport
~ Admission/ Acceptance letter
~ Student Visa application form
~ A personal bank statement of sponsor (student/ guardian/ parent)
~Proof of itinerary to and from Italy 🇮🇹
~ Passport pictures with white background

It depends dear. You just have to prepare just in case. Also you can apply through the VFS global office. I highly recommended them

It’s fairly easy through them than the embassy itself but as always do as you think and consult the Italian embassy and your university for guidance

Hi Ann, pleases what if your sibling will be your sponsor but you have different surname’s (you know Ghanaian parents and naming their children after other people). It depends on the guidelines stated by your school. If the first instalment of the fees is before the visa date then you should. It also depends on if you will apply and win a scholarship

Yes Daniel. They mostly check funds for one year. If someone is sponsoring you as long as the person is earning salary, the know there will be means to support you during your second year that is if you don't apply for any scholarship. Your entry to Italy is the most important to them.

Absolutely. If your money cannot reach the required amount add your sibling. Ensure you have the same surname name and she or he has an active account. Yours as well

However when you get to Italy I strongly advise you apply for the regional scholarships where Bologna is located. Bologna is in the Emilia Romagna region. There are so many opportunities in Bologna and I’m so excited for you and I wish you the very best.

Hi AdaMash I don’t really know about bringing family along during studies in Italy. Try consulting the university you’re applying to for guidance on that. Outside that, period to bring family to Italy is a bit complicated and largely depends on the type of state permitt

Congratulations 🎉 yes you do! You don’t need to show the €6000 but show for what your Uni scholarship doesn’t cover plus cost of your flight ticket and other expenses in Italy eg: getting insurance here, paying for your student permit at the Questura etc…

Woow where all those stated in the email sent by the university? Attach the scholarship offer to the amount for your flight ticket. I can’t tell you the exact amount you need to get but ensure you have enough funds

Your parents can sponsor you as well. If you have the entire money don't deposit all at once. Split into into like 3 transactions in 2 weeks but ensure it is like more than a month away from when you will be submitting your visa application. If they ask any question regarding it just be bold while answering.

Yes even though tuition can be paid in installments you still need to show at least for one academic year

Hi Barre. They’re mostly concerned with at least the first year however it’s always a plus if you have enough funds. If you have a sponsor, you can always tell them your second year fees will be paid then hence giving room for you not having to necessarily show that funds. Fully funded however it doesn’t cover accommodation, flight and some stuffs yet the money they will give you is enough to cover these things. So add some bank statement covering flight and something extra

Hi Bernard can you send a message on Instagram? Its a lengthy process but you must compile the family composition doc stating what they earn and don't earn ( implying unemployed fam members), then for legalization, you do it at the Italian embassy after translating your certs in their approved affiliate offices. Before legalization, you must authenticate your certificates and birth certificate at the Ministry of Education and foreign affairs

Hi Faarax. Can you clarify abit? If I understood, your account has been dormant and you want to ask if you can put money in before your application process? Did you mean you will be applying next year June? If next year then you have all the time to make your account active. You can deposit money into it but I suggest you deposit at a progressive rate. Yes but you have to apply for something called “nulla osta” before applying for your spouse’ visa. Always contact the university you’re interested in studying at and the Italian Embassy for more information and guidance.
