There has been a rumour that Ghanaian stars were intentionally sidelined by the organizers of Afronation as a retaliation for the infamous #playghana initiative.
But investigations have shown that, that may not be true afterall.
Watch the video to find the reason why they were not intentionally excluded by the organizers.

U said everything and missed the most important part, they lacked resources ,sponsors and branding, their entertainment industry is broke, most of their songs and sounds quality is often boring,

I applaud you video, but i dont agree totally with this population thing. I keep asking how Jamaica was able to spread reggae and dance hall music, selling out arenas with a population less than 2m in the 80s and 90s. By then there was no social media and they still did it. Population may play a role, but definitely not a major role. I also don't agree when people compare ghana currency with that of Nigeria. I know Naira is suffering, but cedis was far lower than naira then till it was decimated and redenominated in july 2007. They didn't do any magic in their economy to have gotten their currency to that rate. Four zeros were just removed from 20000 for it to become 2ghc. Nigeria wanted to do the same during GEJ regime, but it was kicked against. Decimation of currency only changed rate on paper, but it doesn't change value of the money in the money market, reason ghana economy still suffers today. Nothing special they did. Well, all the same good video. I just subscribed.👍🏾👍🏾

Hmmmm. I didnt see it from that angle when i was making the video.. As for the aspect of population, this reason may not have contributed to the rise of Jamaican music but in the case of Nigerian Afrobeats music, the Nigerian diaspora definately contributed to the rise and success of the Genre. Although timing among so many other factors played a large role, the role of the Nigerian diaspora cannot be understated. I too was part of the Nigerian diaspora in Europe and witnessed the rise of the genre around the early 2010's before i came to Nigeria a few years later. As for the currency and economic reason, you may have a point that i cant counter.. So i have to agree with you. Thank you for your comment and subscription.. I am truly grateful and appreciate it as i put a lot of mental energy in creating these videos.. Thank you once again🙏🏾
