Started building my second claptrap and they're both remote control and balances on one wheel. Full scale is the way to go though unlike the official 2K one coming out with the remastered games

I'm in the middle of making a wood carving of the Crayon Ponyfish from Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I'm trying to make a display that looks like it would be from the natural history museum from the Zissou Society. Thanks to you, Claptrap is next. I'd like to make one that's maybe 1/2 scale, any suggestions for a wheel?

A very cool project! I'd love to see an update or more puppeteered props/robots in the future! The one with the r/c car base was awesome!

When you gut the handles you can try using those thin bolts that are threaded on both ends that you can use to to put them together in the same manor a Pool Que comes apart to put into a case.

Great idea! Our original design was a Claptrap cooler to hold beverages, but then we worried he'd be too top heavy :D

You should be able to get styrofoam balls of various sizes at any hobby shop. One could work well for the eye.

Heh! already downloaded your specs :P .... although for the hands i might try to canibalize some of those cheap childrens claw toys...the elastic band grabber things??? and try to make his hands snappy >8D

Bill I know you don't normally do specific props... but would be sweet to see you do/tutorialize a level 3 Sentry from Team Fortress 2

I'm making the claptrap build out of Eva foam, using the blueprints you have provided, it's going pretty good but I'm trying to figure out how to support the wheel and pvc pipes for the arms :/ any suggestions?

Hi, I wish you made more armor and cheaper things that we could follow. I mean this is cool but I'm subscribed for tutorials and tips, that sorta thing. Obviously do what you want, just my two cents.
