I would like to do the same but not if it blows out if you rev the car up. my project has tire smoking power and I would like to make it throw fire at the same time as smoking the tires. I'm running straight petrol gasoline 93 octane not propane but the same concept direct to the battery bypassing ignition to a switch to a relay to the condenser to the coil coil back to the negative side of the battery negative post spark plug rounded in the exhaust bong plug welded I have a nitrous jet installed going up to a washer fluid reservoir holding my 93 petrol with a pump on it going down to the nozzle of my nitrous jet using it's the same hose as a brake line

I read the only reason we need a relay is because the battery puts out DC . What if we use an inverter to put out AC? Then we would have a simpler setup. I have a 9v AC phone charger i could wire to the plugs and inverter.

I was wondering if I can use any old ballast resistor automotive-related I don't know how many amps and resistance I'm dealing with hooking up hooking up the coil to the switches including relay which act likes a switch even though the coil itself puts out a high voltage which gives the spark plug Arc from the condenser being grounded in the coil itself with a spark plug wire going to the spark plug being grounded in the coil itself wires on the coil going to back to the negative terminal on the battery

What type of relay are you using and also do you really need a condenser thanks I've been trying to make a exhaust flame.thrower for a while and cant get my spark plug to spark

Don't you need a RPM range or ecu pcm rpm rang to get the coil to run the spark rapidly fast to Sparkplug like on fuel injected car versus distributor ob1 the different RPM range is high and low like on a distributor car most new coil packs read off the ob2 and rpm rang of the cars pcm too get a more faster Spark

What size resistor did you use?

Ballast Resistor. Is that not on this board I have a MSD coil spark plugs and MSD coil wire going to the spark plug okay what about the condenser is there a wire going to a ballast resistor rather than having points and a cam for spark range like a distributor cap you can't hook it up directly because it would short out the switches till you have to you can't hook it up directly because it would short out the switches so you have to use a ballast resistor that hooks up to the coil then to the relay to the condenser back to the switch back to your battery positive

I'm not guru like you folks. But why will the following NOT work. Splice into an existing sparkplug wire. Extending it to spark plug in back of exhaust. Splice a switch into cab. Put small propane tank behind seat. Run hose from tank to metal hose to back of exhaust next to spark plug. Start engine. Turn on switch for plug. Open valve slowly for propane. Wa, la. Seems logical to me. But I'm not guru. So I ask you. Peace
