the best tip if you are riding a bike or e bike is always pay attention becouse not everyone on the roads or crossing the roads do that. i was very young about 14 and i was out on my bike and a woman with a push chair just came out from between parked cars right in front of me and i hit her and knocked over the push chair luckyly i was going slow and no one was hurt apart from me and i was devestated and aplogising profusly but the woman apologised to me for not looking first. so what i am trying to say is you may think you cant hurt anyone with a bike and that is very very wroung at the very least you can hurt yourself. the roads are a dangerous place never forget that.

Well you only need to worry about pumping car tires on old cars that have no tire pressure sensors but for new cars they all have TPS monitoring system so once that orange symbol comes up you have to pump. Other than that no. Also, Costco offers hydrogen air vs gasoline station air pressures that are either broken or their meter doesn’t work. Hydrogen air last longer.

in my opinion (especially on noncargo e-bikes) people overdo it with the tire size. a thinner tire is more future-proof as you can put them on a bus rack, giving them more versatility, and making them better car replacements. the only time it's somewhat necessary is on a cargo bike, or if you live somewhere it snows more than 2-3 weeks out of the year.

You can buy schrader valve dust caps that display the specific tire pressure recommended by your bike's manufacturer. As the pressure drops, so will the color coded indicator letting you know that your tires are in need of air. I'm not aware if they are made for presta valves. This simple purchase will not only save you money on ebike parts, it will prolong the life of your tires.

You're totally right on that, but it's so much easier for you guys in the US. Here in Europe, especially in Belgium, the air is so polluted that it actually eats the rubber of the tire from the inside out, which can be very inconvenient when you're in a hurry, because there's no way you can see this nuisance coming. Always a gamble. Changing tires on a regular basis is our only option. We call it the Belgian drag...😨

Not wrong there. It's mandatory to check if your tires are good to go before the out. If not, then get them pumped with air with whatever you have (portable pumper, or from a gas station). The bike will thank you on the long run by having itself a smooth run with you. If you have semi-pumped tires, it might make the bike boing on the ground on some occasions, or worse, you might get a flat tire and tire you AF.

bicycle tires are porous and therefore should be checked 1x a week.( They lose air in them). @simonlinser8286

Low pressure is a big cause of flat tires, if your pressure is too low the tire can move and it ends up moving the tube and then the valve stem gets a tiny break and leaks. If it's too low every time you leave from a standstill or hit the brakes hard it could happen. A good tire and rim should gave grip on the bead that prevents that movement but it's possible. Also the tube can get pinched if it's too low. Plus you can put more strain on the drivetrain if your rolling resistance is higher.
