"Mask" is better for HTV? I use transfer tape with teflon barrier. I just want to educate myself. Should I be using a Mask instead?

I've been searching for a video like this for a while now, it answered a lot of my questions. I only wish you stated specifically what medium you were using, i.e. printable htv, iron-on transfer paper, etc.

What Transfer tape is used in this video. I am struggling with transfer tape not picking up the image and text from the carrier. have tried several but this video looked good

Sometimes with small lettering I find it sticks to the vinyl backing instead of the transfer mask.... any tips on how to stop that?

Designs with intricate detail can be hard to mask unless you’re using a high-tack mask. If you’re using high-tack mask then try using more pressure with your squeegee.

I’m using the express print material with the recommended medium tact mask but it isn’t working as it should. Now my design is a bit more complicated but other brands work perfectly fine but not the Stahls. Can it be that I got a bad roll? I am following all instructions and the mask still isn’t raising all the printed media from my design.

I looked on the website to see if there was a maximum heat listed for this but did see one. My printable heat transfer vinyl uses 374 degrees. Is that too hot for this?

I can't find a transfer tape to use with my inkjet printed htv. I bought a mask to use and when I did, it picked up a lot of ink and messed up the design. Do I need a specific transfer tape?

With just one simple image like this is it necessary to mask? I thought that was only needed if you had an image that was a little more complex with intricate pieces or lettering?

I am having an issue where the transfer won't transfer to the mask. Even though not two weeks ago the same transfer paper and mask worked perfectly fine. Any thoughts?

There may be too much moisture/humidity. Maybe try to use the little moisture packets to see if that can help with the humidity. If not, we recommend calling into our customer service team to help trouble shoot - the number is 800.478.2457

So I do all this and when I got to press it @315 for 15 secs (easy subli) it sticks to the mask and not the shirt.

This is our Cad-Color Express Print. It is a printable heat transfer vinyl compatible with Eco-Solvent printers.

@@bornannoyed78 I wonder the same. All of the printable vinyl that can be using an a consumer inkjet printer does NOT have a clear backing that can be used on, say a dark garment; they all must NOT be mirrored (and his image is not) and then used with a transfer sheet/mask. Interesting.

Really.. Hmm. I was told to never use tape on printable vinyl because it may remove some of the colour..

Make sure you're allowing the ink to full dry and gas before masking. We offer mask recommendations and dry time settings for all of our printable materials. if you don't say which paper yo're using this video is useless. I saw on the stahls website someone complaining and someone at stahls answering the magiccmask only works with the opaque stretch.
