Properties In Managed and Unmanaged Dataverse Solutions

In this video, Matt showcases the difference between a managed and unmanaged solution when it comes to Dataverse and how to export and import them. In addition, there are specific properties that by default are allowed to be changed in a managed solution that you may not be aware of. Matt shows where these settings are located and how to manipulate them. He also shows where you need to go inside of an imported managed solution, to make changes to the features that you allowed.

great Matthew, did the change (of the display name) on the managed solution, create an unmanaged layer on top of the managed layer in that environment?

Hi, in the summary you said, if allowed users could go into default solution, do the changes they want and it will reflect in the managed solution. By my experience this is not correct. The managed layer will remain as it is, but any change in the target system - either in default solution or any custom solution - will create a new unmanged or "active" layer to the corresponding object. Have not tested it again, but is the behavior still like this or did MS change the approach in here?
