This series and Zord are so underrated. The design looked odd at first but it grows on you and the toy would have been so fun. I don’t know why they skipped it as it was perfect for the way Disney wanted to make power rangers even more geared for kids

By the time ToQGer came around, Disney didn't have the rights to Power Rangers anymore. ToQGer was made during Power Rangers Neo-Saban era, iirc.

Iirc ToQgers was released around 2014 which was around the time Neo-Saban came out. I agree that it would have been amazing in Disney's hands though, the emphasis on Imagination and innocence just makes it seem like Toku wrote this out as a free adaption for Disney only for Saban to take the rights before it can be adapted. Atleast the Hasbro shows adapted Go-Busters but I really hope the adapt some of the skipped ones later on

トッキュウジャーのロボって、イマジネーションで何でもアリな設定にも関わらず、その地盤にしっかりと鉄道としてのリアリティを敷いてくれてるのが魅力ですよね。 超トッキュウオーの無数の列車がすれ違いながらガチャガチャガチャ！って合体するシーンは圧巻です(超超トッキュウダイオー辺りから崩れてしまいましたが) レインボーは蛇足かと思ってたのですが、よく見たらこれ、食玩とかガチャポンの列車を合体させる仕様っぽいですね(使ってるジョイントがトッキュウチェンジャーと同じっぽいですし)

初の列車合体シーンはまさに列車あるあるシーンで、戦闘時のレッシャー換装もコックピットの電光掲示も日常で見る要素で、戦隊ロボでここまで取り入れるのは率直に言って凄いと思った

I genuinely tip my metaphorical hat to the design team of this season - Not only are Shadowline's monsters among the best looking ones I've seen so far, with the exception of VERY FEW among them, but the zords of the season are also very surprising for the better. I know that there are a lot of train types in japan, again, thanks to the info that we see in Toqger, but the idea of taking a vehicle that has a very simplistic form in general, like a train, and create an entire arsenal of different zords based on that concept, all with different designs and abilities, is a really impressive fit of creativity in my eyes, even if the weapon ideas were used by past sentai zords. Overall, Toqger is one of my absolute favorite sentai seasons to date, and while the story can be goofy, it can also be serious when it wants, and watching it is truely entertaining from the beginning of this literal train ride to it's end. So, to whoever reads this comment, if you hadn't seen Toqger yet, please do so. Even if you won't end up liking it, you should at least give it a try 😁.

The story, a group of five childhood friends are gathered together where they lost their memories of their hometown, which was taken over by the Shadow Line. Spoiler alert: The main team are actually still kids but are put in grown-up bodies. Then they’re put in a situation where they can’t be reverted back to children, so even if they can save their town, they won’t be able to reunite with their families.

@@Dinoandtransformerlover54In some ways, it's darker, because there's more tonal contrast. RPM establishes it's tone based on it's premise and setting, and then builds on it. Because it was also Disney, there was a distinct limit to how far it can go, which ain't much further than what it started out with. It also had to work with Go-Onger aesthetics, which tempered it's seriousness, and is literally the source of levity at points (in a good way, I don't think a broody PR show is fit for the franchise, as much as some folks seem to want it). ToQger ostensibly masks an fairy-tale-esque horror with childish innocence, and peels some of it away as the series progresses. It's dark in a very similar way to how classic children's fairy tales tend to be REALLY messed up if you take more than a second to linger on the implications. The Shadow Line quite literally wants to take away free will, oppress the masses with an iron fist, a notion straight up highlighted by their imperialistic stylings.

Although the finished mechs don't look cool at all, the process is very cool and gives the vibes of rescue force(a firefighting series of this genre). And the details on the trains are extremely cool imo.

Honestly, the mechs in this one look pretty goofy, but the proportions for the suit actors' suits make them look better (especially Chou Chou ToQ-Oh and ToQ Rainbow). Plus those low angle shots like the Diesel-Oh one make them look pretty epic too, lol.

without question, this is my favorite sentai series. love the hyper bright colors, gothic villain designs and the gattai. i picked up almost the whole dx toy line when i was in japan, and grabbed the few i was missing on ebay. technically, i'm missing the dx drill, but i use a gatcha version for combinations. the only japanese toy line that i own the complete series of.

This series was the first Sentai i ever watched to completion. I WAS watching Kyoryuger but never got around to watching more after Gold's debut.

@@Nehfarius So typical Sentai? :P But yeah, Kyoryuger had "Red is the only important one" badly when Sentai is meant to be an ENSEMBLE series. Heck Kamen Rider often does better at focusing on all the main Riders than Sentai sometimes.

It’s not that similar. For RV Robo, Blue comprises most of the torso and the upper legs. Red is the head and the rest of the torso. Pink is both arms. Green and Yellow are the lower legs. For ToQ-Oh, Red, Blue and Green are the torso, legs and head. Yellow and Pink are the arms.

@@PropertySOfficial yep just check again, they have the same width but Dekabase robo height is 88,5 meter and Toq-rainbow is 88 meter
