Wouldn't this eventually kill the 3rd party Realestate agent if it's on a decentralized network. Which essentially solves the middle man fee issue. That would be the whole point of Realestate on chain if you ask me.

The ownership of the house selling on-chain should only be “legally” transacted to 3rd party (new owner) on the book. So there is still potential risk where the seller could “sell the property” and go to the court and win the ownership back. I’m speaking on current states, but crypto is a fast moving industry, if you don’t have it this cycle, chances are the product won’t get adopted

You have hit the nail on the head. Right now NFT are not recognized in any court as proof of ownership, and for good reason. Until the legal and technical kinks are worked out, this can be just another avenue for fraud. Once those kinks are worked out, the blockchain can become a great safeguard against real estate fraud.

Great show! I love this Propy tokenized RE concept. I've been watching Propy for a couple of years now and love what they are doing. Haven't seen anybody in the Canadian market offering this service yet. I'm familiar with Matterport tech, and it's pretty cool to create those 3D versions of homes with spectacular colour and details! I've bought and sold plenty of property as a private business, and never used a Realtor for those transactions, but did need a lawyer. Real time settlement will change all that in a hurry! I think Propy will indeed shrink that market unless Realtors become proficient in this new digital world or Real Estate. I know I intend on leveraging it to the fullest for my business. Do you know of any Canadian companies offering similar to Propy or are they the market leader? Thanks, Paul!

Unfortunately, the CEO is not telling the entire truth. She says that NFT can be used to assert property rights in court. That is a "forward looking statement" and not true. At this time, no jurisdiction accepts NFT as proof of ownership of real estate. Hopefully, that will change, but before it can there is a lot of standardization, oversight, and acceptance needed. However, all the potential she cites is spot on.

I dunno, I think it'll be adopted piecemeal. 1 city/ county at a time. The smoother it works, the more cities will adopt it. Maybe some counties will adopt it for land sales since those tend to be simpler.

This year is definitely going to be worse. Last year, I made terrible investing selections that cost me a large sum of money that I would not have lost if I hadn't been so concerned about my portfolio. I couldn't determine whether to start paying for a house or continue investing. I eventually sold my stocks, and the house turned out to be more of a fixer-upper than I had expected. I don't know how much longer I can do this

It is crucial to have a varied exposure in your portfolio, including companies generating current cash flows. I had my portfolio revamped by a planner that I hired late 2022, and in the last ten months, I have made well over half a million across multiple markets.
