I'm originally from Montgomery, Alabama but living in Houston for 7 years I definitely agree with you people are friendly out here especially when they find out that you are not from here. One of the reasons I moved out here I came to visit and I saw a lot of black people doing the damn thing out here and I was so impressed I was sold on Houston after that.

The most beautiful beach in Texas is on South Padre Island - it’s 6 hours south from Houston. The water looks super blue and beautiful!!!!!

Way before I saw your video I heard Texas has more affordable living & getting more for your coin but girl I didn’t know the vibe was like that! Thank you so much for sharing this video✨I’ve been thinking about moving to Texas from NYC. This video was definitely spot on! I first moved to Houston from Detroit when I graduated high school to attend Texas Southern University (I now live in Atlanta) but I just loved the amount of black excellence I saw down in H Town and you’re definitely right about how friendly the people are down there. Coming from Detroit that wasn’t something I was used to lol, it’s that southern hospitality thing. I’m actually considering moving back to Houston within the next year or so. You’re gorgeous btw sis!!!

All of your pros are what I’m looking for during my relocation search. Houston is at the top of my list. Glad to hear that men actually like to go out on dates over there. I’ve been living in LA for nearly 10 years now and it’s time to GEAUX lol. It was aight being here for my 20’s but I’m ready to settle down and be able to afford a home. Definitely u definitely made me laugh when you were talking about 90 plus degree weather lmfao, I am from NYC moved to Phoenix Arizona January of this year. Listen 90 plus degrees weather in Phoenix would be a great day over here we get 120 degree weather, it’s down right disrespectful lol. I Love this❤️ Only thing i disagree with is too much of anything is not good. Im from Louisiana where we are more of our Ancestors (Segregated) and i neva get tired of being around my own ppl. Shenae for the bugs use 50/50 mix of Borax (laundry powder) and sugar. Sprinkle it in problem areas. You can drop the poisonous sprays.

@@Xrakikiii it’ll draw them to the bait. I live in tampa and do this but I use coffee grounds instead of sugar. Roaches the size of my body and I have no time for that! 😒😤🤢🥴

From the Midwest. Visit TX often. While police harassment still occurs here from time to time, Texas is a hands off state. They don't appreciate government overreach. So the tax burdens, bureaucracy, and red tape you'll find on the East Coast aren't as prevalent there. For instance, they had traffic cameras all over the place; but found them unConstitutional (you can only find them now in grandfathered-in towns). Then there was the whole power grid debacle. That independent spirit of the 1800s still lives.

Bugs! I can’t do it. I can’t alligators or snakes. We got coyotes here in the Bay Area. Mountain Lions and Bobcats too. Rattlesnakes in the hills.

You have to have a Houston address on your resume. Find a UPS Store in Houston pay monthly you can use that as your street address.

I can relate to everything you are saying. I am from NY & everything you have mentioned & experienced in Michigan it’s the same way in NY. Most of my family moved to Houston 20 years ago from NY & i kept procrastinating about moving, but now I am ready to go. I’m just nervous about paying so much bills. In NY, i don’t pay for electricity, water, or car expenses Bc there’s bus/trains 24 hours a day, so I really don’t need to drive, but in Houston I definitely need to drive. I am also worry that I may not adjust to the living environment it’s totally different. I feel I am going to feel home sick. As for hair, nails, eyebrows…theres no place like NY, NJ, Michigan, Atlanta, Florida, California, Maryland are the BEST when it comes to all of that. Girl, I’m so sick of the cold & snow it’s time to go. The only thing i wish they had is the blue-greenish Beaches like Florida. The beaches in NY are dirty as well. Thank you for sharing your opinion & experiences. I truly appreciate it.
