This is awesome! I am the mascot for my two-year community college and want to be the mascot when I transfer to a four-year university. I love this video!

idk if your going to see this, but I'm literally trying to bring the mascot back to my school. We have the head but no costume so it's probably gonna be homemade... I'm looking for personality tips and such so it's cool to see a channel like this exists

When your picking a personality for your mascot I think you should consider A) the purpose of your mascot- when you’re starting from scratch it might be helpful to consider when your mascot will mainly appear (if it’s pep rallies for instance, you’ll probably be indoors entertaining people at a relatively close proximity, so you’re personality could probably be based more on interactions with fans-like if you want to be mischievous, or sweet you can build around those fan interactions. Or if you’re mainly entertaining at games/tournaments, you’ll likely be farther away from the crowd so your personality can be expressed through skits or stunts as you’ll be able to take up more space.) B) Characters that already exist that you’d want to emulate. This can be easier than making up a personality from scratch. A good example of a happy, energetic, fun-loving character, for instance, could be spongebob squarepants. If you want to copy spongebob you could watch some episodes for inspiration and brainstorm how you think spongebob might behave in mascot scenarios. Other examples could be Daffy Duck-mischievous/prideful, Ms. Piggy-glamorous/sassy, Tigger-friendly playful

@@LisaTheLit thank you for the advice but I think i said it wrong, we have the head but we got rid of the outfit so I need to make an outfit from scratch. It's been 3 years since it was last seen. And yes I've been thinking about personality and tricks I could do at games... I'm not in ideal shape so idk about flips and splits but I could pull off a fun dance number, but I've been watching college and NBA stuff but if you have any ideas for tricks that be cool, I'm imagining my human mascot to love the school and be nice but taunting to other teams...but not in a too much kinda way where it could be rude, and mischievous and also peppy during pep rallies (aka pie in face and such)

I'm so sorry that you didn't get to do your DCP! I was Fall '19/Spring '20 (RIP). A couple of my roommates were character performers. I so hope that you get the chance to be a character performer at Disney when "current world events" calm down!!

Can you post the suit up video?
@LisaTheLit2 жыл бұрын
I want to do more mascot videos for sure, but my suit is in another state at the moment, so it'll be a while until I can do another video with the suit. Is there any mascot tips/advise I can offer in the meantime?

Do you can make a suit up Video with the Cow Mascot Costume ?
@LisaTheLit2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately that suit is on the other side of the country right now, so I’ll have to put a pause on suit-up videos.
