Great video! I would add, that you have to make public transportation work for you and not the other way around. If you don't have a car, don't move and work where there is less public transit. If you don't have a car Dallas has plenty of options. Be smart when looking for a place to live.

Also, the bbq in texas is A-1, but ill tell you what i miss the most about texas since moving.. the Tex-Mex food. Tex-Mex is different than Mexican food. Mexican folks that grew up in texas and maybe who've been here for a few generations have put their own spin on mexican dishes and theyre fantastic. You cant get mexican food anywhere else like you get in texas. I also like the cajun foods in texas, especially since Katrina happened and a lot of folks from louisiana moved to texas. That stuff is the bomb too. Also a lot of asian folks are moving to texas. You're right man, so many food choices! I miss that about Texas, for sure! Nice video.

@@mrbillinsfJanuary to April is great weather and October to December is also great weather. It’s mostly unbearable June to August but at night it’s not so bad compared to colder states it’s cold all day all night. Texas hardly gets ice storms so I don’t know what you mean. The west coast do have great weather not gonna argue there. But me personally I need some type of four seasons, I love leaf changes and don’t mind some cooler temperatures around Christmas.

Good call on the drivers, rear ended twice is 7 months, 2nd totaled my car. Missed a few, 1. There’s a massive sort of underground fitness community with more variety in gyms and classes than I could have imagined. 2. Even with that, there’s a bifurcated population, 1 super fit, 1 super obese. 3. The dating market is overflowing with single mothers. They get married at about 15 1/2, stopping dropping kinds and then you’re dealing with them in their 30s. See also number 2!

I'm from Fort Worth, born and raised. ⭐️ I agree with the entire segment. Great and accurate info! 👍🏾EXCEPT...it's not true. CALIFORNIA has the worse drivers of any state. SPIT on the road and they'll go spinning out of control here. 😟 You think the reason why traffic is creaping is because there is an accident ahead of you...and it IS...ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL for traffic going in the opposite direction. 😖 RUBBERNECKERS!! 😤 Then there is the mystery of the "fast lane stop"...as the far right lanes flow. 🥴 MERGING? Forget it. 😕 "Single file" was taught to elementary school kids everywhere EXCEPT for in California. ☹️

I've lived in Dallas for 43 years. I live in the beautiful Lake and Garden District around White Rock Lake--Lakewood, Lochwood, Little Forest Hills. My neighbors are wonderful and only place where I've lived where I actually know my neighbors. Lots of trees, creeks, and the beautiful White Rock Lake Park. Best place in Dallas. It's like living in a small town. I've lived in the suburbs (won't make that mistake again), Uptown and the Park Cities. The suburbs are usually treeless, hot, with horrible traffic especially if you commute into Dallas . However, atleast Dallas does have DART mass transit. Best city in Texas to live. Yes, summers are very hot and horrible. Also, before you move to Texas be aware of the horrible, outdated, electric grid, and do thorough research. The San Antonio Express did a comparison between Texas and California and I was surprised that California is cheaper. Taxes, utilities, etc. are high. If you are afraid of hail damage to your roof as I was I put a Class 4 roof on my house that helps reduce the chances of hail damage when I replaced it. Costs a little bit more but it's worth the peace of mind.

DFW is a MIX of all party sentiments... not sure where the idea of DFW being conservative comes from. The surrounding counties outside of DFW are red... but the metroplex itself (Denton, Dallas, Collin and Tarrant) always seem to swing blue. Anyway, people moving here dont need to have the idea that DFW is Red... its a mix
