Another pro of St. Pete as well as Tampa, is that it’s a younger vibe in most areas. Most of Pinellas north of St. Pete leans toward the retiree population. That’s coming from a 33 year old, so I enjoy that younger St. Pete feel.

Yes! I live in Pinellas and St. Pete has an even younger vibe than much of Tampa. I’d argue there is also way more to do in downtown St. Pete than downtown Tampa. Central Avenue is filled with people on a Sunday afternoon whereas downtown Tampa, not so much.

I love St. Pete. Been living here about ten years and the city has already grown so much. I live about five minutes from downtown. It's definitely a unique vibe here. The prices have skyrocketed though. To give you perspective, we bought our house in 2012 for about 200k. It's now worth about 800k.

I've only been in the area for 3 years and I already look at new buildings and say "I remember when there was nothing there". Everything has been exploding!

The traffic is hectic but not as bad as the DMV area. I'm interested in Sturdy built condos in St Petersburg. I think the older buildings are better and spacious.

St. Pete Def the jewel of Tampa Bay, best vibe, best beaches, very little traffic compared to other major areas like even during rush out, now if you are coming from Tampa or Sarasota maybe but not within the city, access to all types of entertainment, pro sports, educational institutions, hospitals, airports, bikable, walkable, everything is closed by and I can go on and on in any case the entire tampa bay area is an amazing place to live

I live in St Pete and I don’t even go downtown Tampa to work. I’d rather work in Pinellas Park or downtown St Pete honestly anything closer to the bay or Oceanside

Interesting that I always watch videos about living in St Petersburg. They never mention west SP like the Jungles which have really nice neighborhood and much more affordable (and close to the beaches)

Great point! There are some unique areas on the west side. The lines are a little harder to define over there though. I'm putting together some info for a neighborhood tour video and the Jungles is on the list. What are some of your other favorite areas?
