Daily I am so grateful I live in Wyoming. I sometimes think I need a vacation and then when I am gone I realize once again that Wyoming is my home and I feel safe and loved there. There are so many great things that make the state of Wyoming my home. Of course I would be naive to think that there aren't some negatives, but thats life in general right?! So I put another list together of why I love Wyoming and what I think is so great and no so great. I have living is Wyoming for over 40 years and in Casper Wyoming for over 21 years. I love helping people with Casper Real Estate and make their move to Wyoming. I would love to hear why you think Wyoming is so great too!

Best cellular network in Casper? I worked one year in the Bakken oilfield in North Dakota. Blue skys and I still had to shovel the garage door out every morning. The wind blew the damn snow around every night😂 I shoveled snow 4 days a week for a month and a half where it hadn’t snowed in two months🤣

Don't worry, winter might be cold, but it's also the perfect excuse to cuddle up with hot chocolate and binge-watch your favorite shows!

I was thinking more toward GILLETTE as it doesn't have anything around it so there would be the least amount of traffic which is my #1 anxiety. After that is long lines at stores, can't find parking when out, long waits to get appt. with dr., dentist, or chiropractor, crowds, noisey people. I like it quiet. Don't want to hear kids crying or teens hot roding their cars up and down the streets or sideshows. I need quiet and a very slow pace of life. Sheridan and Cody are great but probably not affordable for me. Buffalo might be a good alternative as well as GILLETTe.

My suggestion is to visit everywhere you think you might like then choose a location!

Enjoying your videos! Wyoming tops our retirement list but accessible quality healthcare is our biggest concern. I know you are in Casper, but can you share if the highway from Sheridan to Billings is open in the winter. Casper sounds great but we do worry it’s too far from a big city for when a hospital is needed (pray it’s rarely!). We are from New England so we know how to drive in the snow! TIA for your reply! Billings isn't a big city. Try Cheyenne. Close drive to Denver

@@montanaman2439 thanks! We were thinking that might be the case and wondering about outer limits of Cheyenne, maybe Laramie… Definitely need to plan a trip to scope things out. We are big Yellowstone and GTNP fans but choosing where to actually retire to is going to take some more research!

@@nancyg7051 Im from Great Falls, Montana and you might wanna check there! Its a great location, mountain view’s all around. 3 rivers running through it. It’s right in the center of everything, 3 hours from Yellowstone and Glacier. Not a far drive to Calgary if you want to visit a major city. Sits right up against the Bob Marshal wilderness Rocky Mountain Front (kinda like Denver does). Great Falls is the fastest growing medical region in the state too, 3 top major hospitals as well as a medical school there based out of New York (Touro medical school). Just another idea to maybe add to your list of places! ;)

@@montanaman2439 How affordable is Great Falls for a 3 bd.,2 bath 2+ car garage, 2000+ sq ft. newest home with up to 1/4 or less acre of space around house? (for low maintenance). I don't care if I have neighbors as long as I have distance/privacy away from them.

@@microminiskirt about $200,000-300,000 which is actually affordable for Montana. It is going up though. It seems that Great Falls is booming just like Billings did 20 years ago.

How long do you have to be resident of Wyoming to own a fire arm ?
@michaelwhitehead4446
@michaelwhitehead4446 10 ай бұрын
Hi dont take this as legal advice, but federal law requires you can only by a firearm in the state you are a resident. Wyoming requires at least a year living full time within the state to be a resident in most cases.
