As a real estate investor, I can attest to the real estate value in Charlotte, NC. I purchased a foreclosure as an investment property; the equity has more than tripled over a few years! The property kept me afloat (I live in NYC) at the time I either lost my job or decided to go back to school and focus on my studies. Charlotte, NC is a landlord-friendly state.

There were a lot of good nightclubs, bars and restaurants in Epicentre before Covid. I was sad to see the Epicentre go, it was really a great time.

Honorable mention is beef n bottle one of the oldest steakhouses in Charlotte and it’s phenomenal! One of the biggest cons with Charlotte is that it really has no identity culture wise… it’s very inclusive from all the transplants but it’s not really known for much…. Great video

@@AmalyaMarie you will love it! Half priced bottles of wine on mondays, the price point is stellar, and it’s a hidden gem for sure. I agree I hope we do become known for something because the space, support, and opportunity are definitely there.

This was very informative! Thank you! I see a lot of people say the con is that traffic lol and cost of living. I appreciate you for speaking on the medical aspect as well. How is getting into doctors appointments for new patients? Do you have to wait months?

Thank you, I appreciate you watching! Definitely had to wait a month for my routine doctor appointments so I just try to schedule ahead of time. The times I’ve gotten sick and needed an appointment soon, I had to go to urgent care 😭

I’m not the best to speak on this because I’ve only lived in one area of Charlotte for 3 years and I want to move. Also my opinion is based on my preferences and not everyone is looking for the same things. I would personally move to Ballantyne or Uptown because they’re very modern and close to my favorite restaurants/activities in Charlotte. I would highly suggest visiting a couple times and doing apartment tours. There are also other KZfaqrs who post “moving to Charlotte” content. Hope this helps a little ☺️

Not a fan of CT. Besides all the driving I think you’ll enjoy NC much better. Weather, things to do, proximity by car and plane to FL, GA and other Carolina cities. South Park area is very nice

What is the best area to live in Charlotte if you from South Carolina and you don’t want to move and the city area more like between the city and downtown area

Not sure if I’m the best person to answer this but Steele Creek area is close to South Carolina and pretty close to the city. Might want to ask someone who has lived here 10+ years or raised in Charlotte, there are also other KZfaq videos about “moving to Charlotte” that may help!

What are nursing salaries for a new grad and experienced in Charlotte nc?

In 2020, new grad starting was 28/hr (60k a year) at the major hospitals in CLT not sure if that’s changed since. I no longer work inpatient in Charlotte but some experienced nurses I know make between 35-40/hr. Nurses who know how to negotiate or choose to travel can make way more.

Depends on the kind of vibe you’re looking for. I would recommend Uptown, Southpark or Noda for professionals in their 30s. You can also look up lounges on TikTok and Instagram if you’re looking for a specific type of aesthetic

Probably will be a major adjustment. I wouldn’t consider Charlotte a major city yet. Definitely less expensive cost of living than LA but probably not as many majors events and opportunities that you’re used to in Los Angeles

To me Charlotte is kind of Overated and Overpopulated. As you mention the Gentrification which increased the cost-of-living. I've been here for about 15 years and seen it Revolved into a Totally different element so it has no Sentimental Value when I do plan to leave. The City is constantly Building and Blocking off streets Especially during Rush Hour 😳Overall I feel it's Doing Too Much Too Fast and is bound to Run it's Resources Dry. On the other hand it's a Family Friendly City . You can always find something to do. Great places to eat and pretty much live on either sides of the City and have convenience for needs

Yes I understand what you mean when you said it has no sentimental value. A lot of people tell me Charlotte has lost its culture. I hope the city officials start listening to those who have lived here a long time and make the right changes.
