We’re coming out to Dunedin from Dallas in two weeks. Part vacation/part location scouting. We’ve been here 26 years and have been itching to live near water for the last fifteen. 😁 South Florida is just too…much, Tampa area is more the size metroplex we’re looking for.

Wow! Very cool. I do agree that living near the water is very awesome 😉. Dunedin is a great spot to check out! There are so many cute spots up and down the coast here so make sure to take a drive and see the sights! Planning a week long trip in March to check out the area. currently living in a small town in San Antonio, called Boerne. Similar to Dunedin but no water.

Where are the larger manufacturers at in SW Florida? I work in Procurement/Supply Chain and want to move down there.

Hi Steve - great question. I can give you some insight of the larger corporations in the Pinellas and Hillsborough area. Here are a few you will see in Pinellas County: Jabil, Raymond James Financial, HSN, Tech Data, Duke Energy, MarineMax, Valpak, Plasma-Therm, Telsa, Lockheed Martin, Rooms to Go and a few others. These are mainly more in the mid to south area of Pinellas County (Largo, Clearwater, St Petersburg) If you head over to the Tampa side, you will find some of the following: Publix, Bloomin Brands, Sykes Enterprises, Wish Farms, TECO. There is also a few of the ones from Pinellas area that have locations in Tampa. If you go even further to Sarasota, the only ones I really know about are Boar's Head, Roper Technologies, Tropicana, and Bealls Inc. I am sure there area many more! Hope this gave you some insight.
