I shaved my head last week. Honestly, I don’t really like it, and I feel great about it!!! I’m learning to love myself despite my appearance. I’m very proud of that.

Biggest pro: no hair on the back of the neck.

con: THE WORLD IS C O L D literally and metaphorically, you’ll realize that some people, even acquaintances and friends may treat you badly or make fun of you. especially in high school. you will be pointed at and stared down and have weird faces made at you, helps you weed out the awful ones. but for real, get a beanie or something you will be frickin FRIGID

For awkward stages: School: get some sort of hair gel Outside of school: use a beanie

For those that do worry about physical beauty, I personally feel shaving it off, brings out all your strongest and most beautiful features that would otherwise be hidden away under hair. I also feel most girls that do this have this instant empowerment and happiness.

My hair is currently going back from a relatively long pixie cut, and I was so excited to grow it out and have long hair again, but my mom was just diagnosed with a very agressive form of cancer and has to go through chemo. I am seriously considering shaving my head with her, but I'm still unsure. Thank you for this video! It really helped me in the decision process.

i’m almost 15, a freshman in highschool. i had wanted to shave my head for so long and i had hair to my shoulders but i decided to get a pixie cut, shaved the sides and back and kept the top long. i dyed my hair hella though and hated how damaged it felt so finally i decided it was time and just shaved my head. i feel so confident, i’ve gotten bullied by a few people but it didn’t get me down, especially wont now bc your video just made me feel so much better 💛

I shaved my hair and omg it is so much easier , shower : 3 minutes , drying hair : 2 minutes, doing it in the mornings: 0 seconds (lol u don’t need to do it)

I’m struggling hard right now. I lost so many things in the past two years - most importantly: myself. I cut about 10cm of my hair about a week or two ago and cried like a baby. And I cried only because I know that the guy I have sort of relationship with told me that he doesn’t like short hair. Well, I just realised that I’m only plan b. So I’m gathering courage to shave my head. I want to start a new chapter. I want to find myself. I want to be better. And the hair (actually the guy) is in my way. So, here I am, just out of shower and I KNOW I will shave my hair in the near future. I’ll update you after.

IF YOU ARE SCARED TO SHAVE IT: Do it. Just do it. I have personally always attributed a lot of my identity on my hair, I was terrified to shave it. But lifting that weight and just doing it- learning that you can love yourself without that and that you are valuable no matter your appearance is such a liberating experience. I really do reccomend it. So just go for it, you're beautiful and handsome and pretty and amazing no matter what!

Your hair has never looked healthier! Growing back very nicely! You have a great face for short hair! What you may need to do to grow it out is get the back and sides buzzed short. The top grows back quicker and this will help even it out! Your natural color looks really good and I hope you choose to keep it! This pixie looks adorable! Great job! I have a form of alopecia and everyone kind of treatment so far more or less failed so I’m really considering just shaving it all off and getting my head tattooed instead (the back of my head, to be exact). 🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t felt beautiful in my hair for a very long time now and so the thought of just getting rid of it and getting a cute wig or two for when I wanna have hair, you know? So far I only see pros, like not having to waste money on styling products and shampoo and all that stuff and not having to straighten my hair anymore and my hair not getting in the way of everything anymore and my hair not annoying the living feck outta me 24/7... My partner is also super supportive (he’s also suffering from hair loss so the day will come where he’ll also be bald 🤷🏻‍♀️) and I have so many cute ideas like bleaching my buzz cut and dyeing it neon green so I can look like a tennis ball, ya know? One day I’ll just do it. And as insecure as I am now, I just know that I’ll enjoy it. 🙏🏻

The “about me again” part is very true. It almost forces you to love your bare self and it’s refreshing. People don’t realize the stress that comes with hair until it’s gone. You guys ... it’s a huge weight lifted off your shoulders (literally). 6 years ago I buzzed mine off and I will prolly never have long hair again.

I HAVE to have some part of my head shaved at a given time. I have a hard time regulating my body temp and having apart of my head shave helps me keep cool. But also a flip side when I had all of my head buzzed, you get cold easier. But I love sweaters and long sleeves so I’m thriving

it’s 4:30am and i’ve been up the past two days (not consecutively) watching videos of women shaving their heads and the pros nd cons videos and like looking up women with shaved head. in my school i’ve had a lot of beautiful girls shave their heads and i always thought wow they look so pretty but i never gave it much thought like i thought about it once or twice but that was it. this past year, going into my senior year, i’ve felt more inclined to shave my head. like i previously stated, ive been watching videos & yours gave me like the 100% green light on wanting to do it. ive struggles tremendously with my hair ever since i was younger & i have natural hair so it gets really crazy & i used to do treatments on it and now i’m going back to natural so it’s like a really tedious process and i’m over it. i wanna start all over and i just wanna like yeet all my hair off my head and rock the buzz. anyways what i wanted to say before i went on a long rant is that you’re so beautiful and such an inspiration and i’m so glad i stumbled upon your video. much love ❤️

I shaved my head last week. I'd been thinking about it for a long time but couldn't gather the courage. Always felt like people are attracted to me because of my hair in some way. So subconsciously I got too attached to it. I started to think that people won't like me with short hair. I just wanted to free myself from this thought. It was challenging for me. But this feels so good. My head says hello to the air. And I can't stop touching it lol. I love when people stare at me and they just can't do anything about it except talking. It feels too good to give zero fucks. If you're thinking about it, then go for it. You will feel empowered and confident for sure.
