Tbf, that topic has been hotly debated for a long time. I heard somewhere that botanically, tomatoes are fruit, but nutritionally, they're vegetables (whatever that means) so I feel like I don't even know for sure

We juice them, they sugary AF, and we even make them into cakes! Explain to me whats so hard to believe about a person momentarily wondering if a carrot is a fruit. Especially when tomatoes, olives, eggplants, green beans, peas, cucumbers and acacado are ALL FRUIT. But yea, carrots grow alone in the ground, therefore they are not fruit.

@@GuitarSlayer136 Mate you don't know what a fruit is if you're serious here. Fruits are the seed-bearing part of the plant. Carrots don't have seeds, therefore they are not fruit, Eggplants have seeds, therefore they are fruit.

A little note for Mars. Fruits are any edible plant that has the seeds inside when they bloom from their respective trees or Vines. Carrot seeds are not inside so they're are a vegetable

Biologically, a tomato is a fruit. We treat it as a vegetable in cuisine, but tomatoes and various other culinary "vegetables" are really fruits. Peppers are another example.
