The ending is so savage in so many ways and I love it. Like first we've got Bowser cutting in when Mario finally tries to make his move, then Peach just shuts them both down, and then Mario face stomps Bowser??? Amazing. Love this game, Cappy and his sister are super cute too

I’m still kind of up in the air whether Bowser can have speech or just his grumbly vocalizations that have apparent words come through periodically; I feel like it could work if it’s done right, but it wouldn’t be easy, which is why it hasn’t been done properly yet (mario sunshine, oof, I just do not picture that voice coming from Bazzi when i see him; that was a dub, and not a very good one..)

I mean, to be fair, Peach had to go through the whole “being forced to marry Bowser” fiasco again. I don’t blame her for rejecting both Bowser and Mario. She’s probably overwhelmed and had enough marriage ceremonies for one lifetime.

Even though throughout the whole game she kept calling out “MARIO!” For help?! She was clearly frightened by Bowser every time we see them in this game. And when she was saved she was so happy to see Mario and was cheering him on to get them both out, and she wanted nothing more than to spend time with him. So why the fuck would she be pressured by both Mario and Bowser when she could have just told Bowser to fuck off?! Don’t tell me this game is a theme about “forced marriage”, this isn’t a Popeye cartoon for Christ’s sakes. I saw this whole ending as nothing more than a big middle finger “FUCK YOU” for expecting a Mario game with such high production values to end on a sweet note.

Even then, almost stranding Mario on the moon is a dick move. Ever since the first Mario game, he saves peach for the sake of the mushroom kingdom, even though he still had a hidden love for peach. That why it’s so surprising for him to receive a kiss when he saves her, that’s not what he was expecting. Mario’s loyalty for his kingdom and his princess should be recognized by peach as she’ll always be Mario’s personal friend above all. She should show him some recognition

This could be a major plot point: About two years after Odyssey, literally nothing is heard from Bowser...... Until he harnesses the energy of the moon and the galaxies to become GOD BOWSER! He easily trumps Mario and pretty much takes over the Galaxy. Bowser sees Peach as not worthy of his power and goes to get another space bitch, making Peach a playable character. Then Rosalina has to give Mario some of her power so that he becomes grandmaster Mario so that he can defeat Bowser properly. And yes, I'm pitching this to Nintendo

He wanted someone to sing; he also wanted a crowd (they may not know why they were there, but they weren’t exactly harmed either; a real brute wouldn’t have bothered trying to get them there in one piece), a nice building and a wonderful view, even a crown, all for peach. He does all this stuff for her because to him she’s his buddy and his friend, someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with (sort of explains the occasion too, donut?); he loves having her around in the truest sense, but unfortunately her only interest now is all the attention he gives her, which is why she always just stands there and never actually tries to get away even though she easily could (if you’ll recall the beginning when she’s just standing behind Bowser, he’s not looking at her or even thinking about her at that moment, she could easily just walk away and float down to the ground, but instead she stays there; and that ring is big enough for three of her to fit inside, yet she still pretends to be stuck in it; I’m wise to you, peach 🤨). She loves the attention and Bowser loves her companionship, that’s why the whole charade continues; if she ever let Bowser and Mario in on what she was really after the attention would stop, especially once they realize that she’s been pitting them against each other just so she can get more attention. So who’s the real villain here? It appears everyone’s had their eyes on the wrong shell o.o

Also. I have one more thing to say. STOP GETTING MAD AT PEACH AND HATING HER FOR DECLINING BOTH MARIO AND BOWSER! It's not her first time having to deal with forced marriage! She's been through this situation many times before. Such as "Super Mario Bros: The great mission to rescue Princess Peach", "Super Paper Mario", The "Super Mario Adventures" Comic, and The 'Super Mario Bros Super Show' episode "Do You, Princess Toadstool..." (I forgot the name of the episode. Correct me if I'm wrong) The reason why she didn't get married in Mario Odyssey is because of two reasons. 1. She's sick of being put through this whole forced marriage thing and it's really overwhelming for her. 2. She's probably just not ready for marriage yet. So yeah. Just because you're not ready for marriage, that doesn't make you a bad person.

Think it's funny that peach still felt flattered with bowser giving her a bouquet of piranha plants. Pfft. Believe she knows Bowser isn't all that much of a bad guy, just causes a lot of trouble and inconvenience, since he'd never physically bring harm to Peach. She's just fed up with all this fighting and just wants to go home. Like it's been a long day can we just go home now and get off the moon??? Dunno, why most thinks Peach is a jerk for outright rejecting Mario as well. I mean, she seemed so confused to what Mario was about to do as let's be realistic probably the first time I ever seen him feel and be serious about his relationship with Peach. She gives him a kiss in thanks, but he never really stepped up to give her one or anything. :V Saves her all the time? Yeah, since it's not out of character for Mario to not save her or anyone else in need. Guess it's a let down for a lot of Peach and Mario fans though I understand maybe there will be some closure it another game soon. Dunno how long we have to wait tho

I ship 'em to death and back. I won't lie, this ending made me a little upset, but then I had to factor in how peach feels. If I were in that situation I'd want to go home, that dress looks uncomfortable and them heels too tight. And besides; just because she rejected them doesn't mean she loves Mario any less. She just wants to go home.

Super Jude i just watch it and they clearly got rejected both. but to be specefic. nothing much change. peach gonna get stolen again and mario gonna have to rescue her again over over and actualy i feel bad for bowser

+hossxox X Maybe Peach considers Mario's great jumping ability, then she calls Mario and leaves earlier to be together with Mario by apart with Bowser. She probably thinks that Mario can get on the airship in earlier timing.

To be honest, Mario was a little OC towards the ending. A lot OC, actually. I mean, don't get me wrong, he was going to propose before he got rudely interrupted, but that's just it. The proposal. It doesn't seem like something he would do. Anyone else notice this? In all the Mario games, when Peach smooches him at the end of a rescue, he always looks so surprised and is SO SHY (which is one of the reasons why I love Mareach, Mario doesn't put expectations nor does he demand tribute for rescuing Peach. That and the fact that he's faced hundreds of foes all leagues bigger than him and yet its the princess that gets him flustered sweet baby jesus my h e a r t). He never expects the kiss nor the reward. He even bows most of the time like he's supposed to in front of a monarch--all 'n all he's just a really sweet guy. (okay but is no one going to talk about that ending in 3D Land where after cutting her free from the endpole he grabs her hands and frickin twirls her around like if you don't think that's the most cutest thing ever fIGHT ME). He never pressures her for the kiss, never asks her, always makes sure she returns home safe and sound and doesn't ask for anything...like dude he really respects her boundaries. (aLSO IN SUPER PRINCESS PEACH AFTER SHE FREES HIM THEY TWIRL EACH OTHER AROUND AND IM JUST DED MIYAMOTO YOU OVERZEALOUS PICKLE STOP TOYING WITH MY EMOTIONS) But when the blocks were falling he said her name and that killed me I was a helpless puddle on the floor god dammit iT WAS SO SWEET (you can see them desperately trying to grab for each other's hand as they fall *sob* mY BABIES) But then here in Odyssey towards the end he just frickin sHOVES a flower in her face and I was just???? Mario sweetheart where did you go wHOS THIS IMPOSTER Even then, I expected like at least a hug or a kiss from Peach. But. Nothing? This game left an odd taste in my mouth. Not a bad one, no siree bob, but. An odd one.

I mean it's obvious Mario has always had some sort of romantic interest in Peach. Yeah, he never pushes further beyond a little dance after rescuing her, but this is a whole different context. Seeing all of Bowser's wedding preparations, being in the moon with her, both of them all dressed up, etc, must've given him the idea. It's the first time he's taken such a big initiative, but I would hardly call it OOC. And you can interpret it as a proposal attempt, but who knows? Since there's no dialogue it could very well be just him wanting to ask her on a date or something. On top of that, he didn't plan to shove a flower in Peach's face, he just walked up to her until the situation escalated. He let his rivalry with Bowser get the best of him, that's all.

These cutscenes were going so good.....then the ending shows up and gives you the middle finger. Granted I’ve seen worse endings like Assassin’s Creed 3 but I hate when a good game ends with a kick to the balls.
